Disappointing

I've always had an otterbox for my previous iPhones, but this otterbox is not as good. The inside layer does not fit with the outer shell. Definitely does not fit as nice as previous cases.
With the shell, I also ordered the compatible rubber sleeve that is supposed to fit inside. I'm not sure which piece is the faulty one but the hard shell does not snuggly fit over the rubber sleeve. It fits well enough to make the case functional but the edges clearly do not match. The protective "flap" for the earbud port also does not align properly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

From the pictures you provided, it actually looks like a re-installation of your device into the OtterBox Commuter will help to solve some of what is going on. We would suggest giving it a few attempts until you get a solid, snug fit. It is generally best to place the silicone slip cover on your phone first, then adding the outer shell, beginning at the bottom and working your way up. We are attaching our YouTube channel installation video for your easy reference. As far as the headphone port door alignment, that is actually how it was designed to leave the necessary minimum amount of space at the microphone opening for proper function. When I first bought an iPhone, I was aware how easy it was to break the screen so I looked around for the best case to protect it. After 5 years heavy use, the phone is unmarked, despite being dropped many times. On buying a new iPhone 6s I ordered a new Otterbox Defender straight away. I hope it will be as good as the last one.
I have high hopes on this case and from the reviews, as I am prone to dropping my phone occasionally! It's a great case and feels as comfortable to hold and grip. One little irritant is trying to insert the headphone and charging pins. It's a little fussy as the opening doors (I understand their purpose) easily flip back and then it makes it very annoying to insert the two pins. Further I wonder how long these rubber doors will last as one has to charge the phone daily and then it is a matter of time when the rubber will break. What do you say Otterbox?
The five start review is for the hard shell case, not the skin. We'd give the skin a 3 star at most. We've used the Defender series for about 5 years and it is an awesome product - ideal protection. We updated to the iPhone 6s and 6s plus last month and ordered new shells and skins. Love the wide variety of color choices but... something has been changed with the outer skin. The 'flaps' on the bottom which open to allow plug in of ear buds and charger now open from back to front - opposite of the past design. This new design creates problems with ease of use and, if you use a belt clip the clip covers the edge you need to pull up to open the flaps. You have to take the clip off or leave both flaps open. In all, it is an awkward arrangement, no idea why this was changed but neither my husband or I like it. Made what we used to consider a "perfect" product aggravating to use.
I purchased a teal case. The case is solid and works, just like an otterbox case should. The color is sky blue, which I wasn't happy about, not teal. It was labelled as teal and definitely isn't. Had I known what color it was going to turn out to be, I would have gotten a different case.

We put forth great care to ensure that an accurate representation is posted online, but unfortunately, sometimes things don't come across quite as intended, what with all the different devices and screen settings available these days.

I overall like this case and clip. What I am having problems with is the fingerprint identification. It doesn't seem to record through it very well and is intermittent in recognition. I keep my phone locked and use the fingerprint to open it rapidly. Now I try the recognition multiple times and then still have to enter my pass code. Very frustrating.

We’re sorry that this Defender case is giving you trouble with the fingerprint I.D. recognition. This is unusual and we definitely want to help out.
Please make sure that there isn’t any debris or dirt around the home button area. Also, insure that the plastic covering the home button is not damaged or has any abnormalities that may interfere with the iPhone reading your fingerprint. Another idea is to make sure you input your fingerprints with the case on when saving them on your iPhone.

New version of black wallet case is a great case.

They have the new version of the black wallet case out now, and it works extremely well. Secure fit to the phone as well as secure wallet "drawer" allowing easy access but will not open on its own. I am impressed with the case and would recommend anyone looking to not carry a wallet to get it. It adds a fair amount of thickness to the phone, but I think it is a good trade off for only needing your phone to securely hold your cards and some cash.
