This protective case is so protective that I can only type by slamming the keyboard characters...I can't use it...$ down the drain.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hey clary,
Yikes! We're sorry to hear that your screen protector is having trouble connecting to your phone display lately! It sounds like that integrated plastic might be sitting just a tad higher than we typically prefer, and our friendly Otters would love to take a closer look to see what's going on. Please feel welcome to give them a call at 1-855-688-7269, and they'll straighten things out right away with some swift troubleshooting!
I do like the phone case itself. I haven't dropped it yet though so I have yet to see if it lives up to its reputation of protecting my phone from any drops and such. However, I do not like the screen protector. First of all, it makes it very difficult for me to type properly or touch apps or things like that. Screen sensitivity is half what it was and when I had tempered glass on other phones just like my current one it worked MUCH better. I've read that I'm not the only person with this problem. Also, I'm skeptical about how much it will actually protect my phone. What if I drop it and my screen directly hits a rock? I doubt this thin layer of plastic will stop it from being shattered that way. If I can figure out a way, I may just try to fit tempered glass with this case and rip this screen protector off. If this issue can be solved in the future I will be very pleased.
I had a 5s with a Defender cover and it saved my phone plenty of times. When I had to get a new phone, I hardly used it until I got my new Otterbox! I love that I could pick my own colors to make my cover truly mine. The one thing I’d change is the sides. I prefer the old design, where the soft shell surrounds the hard plastic tabs on the sides. In the new design the tabs are more exposed and are a bit rough.
