I had originally purchased the Apple Defender cases due to great customer reviews and the fact they were originally made in the United States. I can say I will always use an Otter Box case to protoce my cell phone. It saved my Iphone after I took an unexpected dip in the ocean in Alaska. My phone was in my pocket at the time and survived my impromptu swin in the ocean. The phone was completely protected by the Defender series. Go Otter Box and thank you.

It is a good holder but it is as fragile as the original. The flange clip is not very durable and one must be bery careful not to get it hooked on anything or it will break. I bought it because I still have the otter case which is very good and seems to protect my phone from drops excellently. But the holder is just so so.

This is the second Otterbox case that I have purchased for myself and wouldn't buy any other brand. It protects the entire phone and I have no worries tossing it on the golf cart when playing a round. I've dropped my phones, but with this case, you would never know it.

I've used this type of holster for several years, first with an iPhone 5, now with my iPhone 6. I like the holster because of its convenience for those who don't want to carry a phone in a pocket.
My big complaint, however, is that the holster inevitably breaks at some point, due to the limited fatigue life of the plastic. On the iPhone 5 holster, I had to replace the holster 3 times in five years due to the phone clip tab breaking off. My iPhone 6 holster lasted just over a year before the pivot for the belt clip cracked.
I'd be willing to pay more for a holster of this type if it were made of a more durable material with a longer fatigue life...say carbon fibre.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
