OtterBox wanted a review so here it goes! I loved the Otterbox for my iPhone 5. I now have an iPhone 6 and sorry to say Otterbox... You missed the mark! I don't hate this Otterbox but I was seriously contemplating returning it after the first couple days of having it. First of all initially I was having difficulty texting. Every few letters were missed. It's like there was a space between the screen protector and the screen. Next... I am having great difficulty getting to my home screen with fingerprint recognition. In fact just this morning there was a crease on the home button and I had to remove the case from the phone to get it out. I do love the Otterbox for the protection it offers. I think that this product was released a little too soon and perfections are yet to come.
I am pleased with my case other than the IPhone 6 has fingerprint recognition and because of the front piece on my otterbox it will not allow my finger print to read good. That is one of the biggest issues I am having. I wish I had purchased a different case if I would have known this was going to be an issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great cases but the availability for iPhone 6 plus cases is a problem. I would like to see more verity for instance camouflage is what I would like to see.
We work in Construction. Our phones get dropped, damp, dusty and generally treated pretty rough. The otter box completely protects the phone from medium grade roughness. the side clip is a bit fragile.
Not quite as wonderful as I was expecting for my iPhone 6 because of two flaws: 1- When accessing contacts, the alphabetical listings are partially covered by the OtterBox edging, making it almost impossible to tap on an individual letter, rather than a name listed under default "A" listings.
2- The finger print ID doesn't work as well as with cover.
Other than these two items, I like the protection, size and camo design on the OtterBox I opted for.
The overall product is excellent from a protective point of view. However, there are several peripheral aspects that have proved annoying or problematic. 1. Annoying: the directions for getting one's iPhone into the Otter box are not adequate. Some further descriptive information and directions are needed. We had to go onto the internet and find further help to pull the Otterbox apart and get the iPhone settled into it. The very weak little illustrations that came with the package are insufficient alone. 2. Problematic: The on-off switch is very very difficult to operate once the iPhone is in the Otterbox case. I have trouble depressing it adequately, but with some perseverance and stubbornness can get it to work. I have to really dig my nail into the on-off area/hole. My wife, however, can almost not get the iPhone on and off owing to the stiffness and resistance of the plastic casing. She had hurt her nail and had to have others turn the iPhone on and off for her. Several times she has thought she had adequately turned the phone off, but had not. She is no sissy nor incompetent, and I feel this difficulty should be addressed and solved. It is entirely out of keeping with the rest of the product and its reputation.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: difficult to initially set up., difficult on-off switch relay/rubber button.
I love the Otter Box Defender Series cases..... however, the release for this case was too early. Needs more R & D. First, the opening for the lightning plug is not large enough to allow aftermarket plugs and it's too deep which requires pulling out the charging plug by the cord, because you cannot grasp the plug.. not good for the life of the cable. Second, the cutout for the audio jack is not properly aligned. Therefore, any "large" cable connector may not fit. Third, the home button opening size makes thumbprint recognition a challenge. Lastly, it it VERY difficult to depress the power on/off button (which is now on the side of the iPhone 6). This is either associated with alignment, or is simply very difficult due to it being a new case. Hopefully this will improve after use!
The Defender for the iPhone 6 real tree has a design problem. The port for the iPhone charger is too small for any non-iPhone charger cord. The opening is too narrow for other brand chargers to fit except for the iPhone original charger. We have used Defender cases for all of our iPhones since iPhone 3 and have loved them. I hope Otterbox realizes this and makes the necessary correction. We also have the one for the iPhone 6 plus, but that one is just fine and we love it.
