Nothing for my husband to break

I like the fairly quiet operation, and after about four months, no mechanical issues at all. The control is all done by the foot pedal, a good thing because my husband has a tendency to destroy things. There are no knobs to turn, or buttons to push, just lift your foot.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the compactor my builder installed in our new house. It doesn't have the sling that makes it easier to pull out the bag. Already one of the interior cardboard sides has fallen out. It doesn't have a compact-and-hold feature. I do like the foot activation.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor performance

Big mistake when I purchased Profile for my new home. Moved into home Oct. 2013 & am on my 2nd yes 2nd unit (replaced by GE). Replacement unit has same problem as original - starting 5 or 6 days after install. The ram keeps rubbing on side of drawer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We lost our last compactor thanks to flooding from Hurricane Sandy. We bought a GE and have been very satisfied.
It amazes me that people don't know what it is. We get a month's trash for my wife and I in one bag: no constant running out for bags or to the garbage can!
