I bought this two months ago and it is very quiet. Only issue is one of the screws for the foot pad continues to come loose and I have to screw it back in.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This compactor is finally Ok

I've owned 4 compactors. This was the most expensive and isn't any better than the others. It broke after only a few weeks but was covered by warranty and fixed within a week. This one is quiet and looks good. I've used this for 2 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pretty and functions well

I just updated from a 14-year old GE compactor this week as part of a kitchen remodel. The new one is stainless steel and looks nicer. Unfortunately, I liked the height of the older one better. This one is taller, so it's harder to reach over it to put items in. The foot pedal is higher off the floor, which is less convenient than the old one. But you don't touch it with your hand to turn it on; you lift the foot pedal with your toe. That's cleaner when cooking. All the GE appliances we replaced lasted without problems for those 14 years. I hope these new ones do, too!

Get trash compactor

Yes a trash compactor is great just replaced my old one which was still working after 20 years giving it to my daughter

Looks great and functions well, but opening and closing the door feels real cheap, the wheels seem to be warped, the door travels likes its riding over marbles, so far three technician visits and all wheels replaced, nothing has changed
