Two repairs in two years

We like the unit very much but have had to have the LG technician out twice. On the plus side, LG did the second repair at no charge even out of warranty.
Pros: Style/Design
I would recommend this to a friend!

Stop Heating

I loved this microwave when I purchased it. After ten months of use, the microwave would run but no heat. This happened once on that month. It was running fine until the 12th month. The timer and electronics were functioning, but no heat, and the warranty ran out. So now I have this appliance above my stove (also an LG) for looks until I figure out what to do.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's a Microwave Oven

I hadn't bought a microwave in a long time. I've only had this one for about a week. Lot's of control. Seems to cook evenly. Little bells and whistles like the exhaust fan and night light. Plus it looks great in my kitchen sitting over my LG stove.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Most microwaves are the same. We are happy with this one in that it is bigger and the programming on it is easy to set.

LMV1813ST Over the Range Microwave

One of the nicest features is the quiet while it's cooking. It's possible to carry on a normal conversation, or listen to the television while cooking in the microwave. The fan is pretty noisy, though. This is a sturdy feeling appliance, not tinny feeling like some of the others I looked at. Has some features that I haven't used, but might be nice to have, such as being able to turn the turntable off and on. Good value for a nice looking, sturdy over the range appliance.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Quality

I actually thought that it wasn't working when I hit the Start button! It's that quiet! But don't let that fool you, this microwave is solid as the stainless it was made with. Has every type of setting that you would ever need and it cooks EVENLY, no cold spots. Another solid performer from the LG line!
Pros: Features/Settings, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this unit to go over and match an LG range. Works great and it is quiet.
Would like to be able to turn off turntable. (Maybe you can, but we have not figured out how)
Pros: easy to use, Quality

Solidly built but noisy fan

This is super hot compared to my last one. Foods heat evenly.
I don't like having to pick a product, i.e., pizza for reheating. I'd rather have a number range.
I was sold on this model because of the noise rating - on low, it is loud. I replaced my outside vented jenn-air with LG range. The venting on the micro does not clear odors. I open windows and run ceiling fans - problematic come winter.
