Could be better

Door hinges seem cheap, which gives the door a lot of play in it. Rotating platform for the glass plate is cheap and makes a lot of noise, and does not roll smoothly. Wish it had a timer on it for other cooking since it is an above the range model. Other then the few thing i have mentioned it is a good unit. Cooks very well and evenly, looks very nice, and was a good value for the price. Control panel is nice and big with easy to use controls.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Matches my LG stove. Very attractive and quiet, except for an occasional loud vibration. I'm gonna have to take it down and inspect for a loose screw(s).
Took me about an hour to install, as a replacement for a previously installed over-the-range microwave.

Good microwave

I usually use this microwave for steaming, reheating, and cooking frozen food. So far it works great. Nice appearance and layout. Has rotating plate so food does not need to be turned half way through the cooking process. The one minor thing I noticed is the door when closed is not perfectly lined up. You need to look close but it is slightly lower.

MY WIFE AND I LOOKED AROUND FOR 30 DAYS TO FIND ALL NEW APPLIANCES FOR OUR KITCHEN. SHE LOOKED AT EVERY STORE AND ONLINE. WE HAVE HAD QUITE A FEW APPLIANCES OVER THE YEARS, BUT AFTER WE HAVE HAD THESE FOR ABOUT A MONTH, SHE STILL TALKS ABOUT HOW GOOD THEY ARE, THE MICROWAVE IS EXCELLANT AND WAS EASY TO INSTALL. IT WORKS AS IT SHOULD WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL, WOULD BUY ANOTHER ONE IN A HEART BEAT. LG PRODUCTS ARE THE BEST.

This microwave is very easy to use, easy to clean and looks nice in my new kitchen with the entire matching suite of appliances. Only suggestion is: remove the wire shelf.

the tray glass keeps breaking

I have owned this product for 11 months and the tray glass has broken two times. The warranty service at LG have been great about replacing the glass tray under warranty. The problem is my warranty is up after next month and I for see me having to purchase replacement glass trays!!! This is not good. Something is obviously wrong with the glass tray design. The tray is very thin and very large which probably explains the tray failures. Other than the trays I really like the microwave.
Pros: design problems
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I sent my 16 year old son out shopping for our new microwave. He brought this one home within the budget I gave him and installed it himself.
