Great Design!

Great design - big burners in the back, small ones in the front. That way no one burns themselves when reaching over a big hot pot, to stir a smaller one in the back!!! Also love that the design has the controls in the middle. Much easier and safer than reaching over controls on the left or on the right, over a hot pot to turn it off! Seems like an intuitive design, but Maytag is the only one we found that had both these features.We cook on it every day, 2 or 3 times a day for a family of 5 + guests. It's 3 yrs old - and sadly started cracking from the left to the right. I'm not sure why, we were starting to preheat a frying pan to sear a steak when we heard a loud "POP" and saw the crack, and took the pan off and stopped using the cooktop. The crack has since (over the last week) migrated from the small left front burner to the large back right burner. (We had to duct tape the crack because it's so sharp.)Waiting for the new one to be installed at the end of the week. Very happy to have found the same design again in WHITE !!! The only reason I gave 4 stars, is because it only lasted 3 yrs.

Good looking , good price and reputable company

This is my first experience with a glass top cooktop and so I'm new at it, but so far I like it a lot. Also, I am still getting used to the new burners. I am still experimenting with the "power cook burners", and trying to understand why the back right unit is so large. I guess I have a ways to go yet before I understand all the features.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Better than gas.

For years, because gas is not available on my street, we have cooked with electricity. Moving from open coils to metal plates, we have waited for the burners to heat, unable to quickly lower the heat when necessary. Our Maytag cooktop is fast -- as fast as gas, and much easier to clean spills. And it looks attractive.

Sleek, durable, and accurate

This is the second cooktop with this design we have purchased. We are impressed with the speed heat option. The extra large burner fits into our cooking needs which include large portions of spaghetti sauce fresh from the garden. Our only improvement we would like to see is an easier clean up. The heat temperature seems to be extremely accurate which anyone who cooks a varied menu will love. Overall, we are very satisfied with our new cooktop.

Great except too hard to keep clean.

All features are great except it is too hard to keep clean. Wiping with a cloth or sponge doesn't do it. What suggestions do you have for this?
