Keeps breaking

The hose where the steam comes out gets to hot and blows apart. That's why the steam quits working. I fix mine about every 2 weeks. I use it daily. Luckily I figured out what the problem is and can fix it for cheap. The company definitely needs to fix this flaw

The vacuum still works. The steam mop, however, does not work, and cannot be repaired because Shark will not supply parts. Such poor customer service that I will not purchase another Shark product of any kind.

I got my steam vac eight years ago and it has worked wonderful for me I moved about two years ago and lost the steam tray for it my only downfall is I cannot find a replacement steam tray and I can’t buy another one of these! so I bought a Bissell steam hate it, no steam comes out wasted money do not buy the Bissell shark I need a replacement PLEASE!!!

Take heed of the negative reviews... total junk. Minimal use and it breaks down. Most often complaint is the steamer doesn’t work. Used 4 times in two years. No support, even you tube videos on how to fix are absurd at best.

After reading several one star reviews and complaints I believe I know what their problem was. We have hard water and soon discovered early on that it would solidify inside our shark steamer and prevent the the steam from releasing. I take a small piece of very thin wire likely a florist uses and push it into the hole under the steam vac and wiggles it around to dislodge any solid particles. However NEVER do this after the unit is already heated up because the trapped steam will quickly shoot out at you and you’ll get a severe burn. I always use the wire in the hole prior to use before I plug it in and it works like a charm every time!

I wanted it only for a lite weight floor vacuum it won’t pick up anything not even dust on a hardwood floor. I turned it over could not feel any suction. Just wasted my money

I bought this vac/steamer years ago mainly for the steamer element. Still love it. It's the answer for sanitized floors with minimum labor.
