It gets the job done

I got this phone because it was an inexpensive upgrade and I could not afford a smart phone at the time. While there are many things I like about the phone my two biggest problems are that it is a little slow, with sending large texts etc., and that it doesn't hold that many text messages. For a phone marketed as a "text friendly" phone, it certainly does not live up. I text a lot and it really annoys me that I'm constantly having to clean out my messages to make room for new ones.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations
I would recommend this to a friend!

I just got this phone and I am still learning. The menus are very intuitive. I had an old flip phone and this phone makes it easy to graduate from the old technology. The size is perfect. At first I thought the drop down keyboard would be hard to use, but it is not at all. I am going to love this phone.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

I would recommend to a new user. I wish it had more options, some of the cons should be able to be fixed. It is a good phone overall.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, size, ease of slide, sound - both to and fro, speakerphone is great, easy to use keyboard, large screen
Cons: Did not meet expectations, calendar, large screen under-utilized, phonebook not outlook compatible, syncing software not intuitive, keyboard locks too quickly can expland time, can't decide order of shortcuts, too many key pushes to dial from phonebook, hard to find items on the menu's, can't pick what is on lg screen as a constant
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had my strive almost a month and have had no problems with it. I wanted to download a local weather app from our abc station but phone isn't a droid or 2.0 device. I don't text alot and I can hear real well and it works great with our car blutooth hands free unit.
Cons: Not high def, Did not meet expectations, sun glare on screen makes it hard to see
I would recommend this to a friend!

I loved all the features that came with my previous phone. The Strive is VERY limited compared to my old phone. I loved the variety of ringtones I had on my other phone. I could assign a ringtone to several of my contacts. Also, the battery life is much less on this phone. There are too many buttons to go through to text and to get to my contacts. Options for programming my phone are limited as well. I don't like the camera either. The quality of the few pictures I've taken is poor. The image on the screen doesn't looks different that what it actually is. I really like the prediction feature when texting. This feature on the Strive is counterproductive to texting. I finally turned it off because it was much easier to type in the entire word instead figure out how to get rid of the word it was predicting. Long review!
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very pretty, but a pain in the butt to work with!

I like purple, so I bought this phone coming off a Sony Ericsson 580i (best phone ever!). this MP3 player is very difficult to work with, won't take wav files, had trouble getting working accessories, an overall pain. Will likely keep using my Sony till it dies.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Did not meet expectations, mp3 player too difficult to transfer music to

I have had this phone for over one month and really enjoy using it. It has all the features I need and the QWERTY keyboard is really easy to use. I thought the buttons would be too small but they are not. The sound and volume are very good and the texting feature is very nice to use and see previous messages.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive
I would recommend this to a friend!

This phone probably would be better for people who have an internet plan. There are a lot of options to go on the internet with this phone. I like to use my phone to text and call people with the occasional picture. The camera isn't awesome, but I've had better pictures from my older Samsung phone. A really good thing about this phone is I haven't had a dropped or choppy sounding phone call. Overall, it is just an ok phone.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Too big, Did not meet expectations, bad quality pictures
