I've had this phone for a few weeks now and find it is very reliable and sturdy (some things I never thought I'd be saying about a phone with a slide-out keyboard.)
So far, so good - I love it!
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, slide-out keyboard is easy to use, excellent call quality, has lots of useful apps
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love, love, love my phone. It's so easy to use. It's a very beautiful phone and I have coverage just about everywhere I go. I love the slide-out QWERTY key board so much that I bought one for my finace. I can't say enough good things about it. I love all the features and the ease of use. It's perfect for me because I download games and music and all so fast ! I'm so glad we chose it !!!!!!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, ease of downloads, pictures are so vivid, videos are so real-like you think you are there !!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good and Bad

Battery life better than I expected though I don't place many voice calls. Conversation threading is nice, keyboard is good. Display is nice. Address book is flexible and rich. However, I have many usability complaints.
Calendar: Can't change the default calendar reminder sound as a preference. Can't search the calendar. Appointments displayed in random order in day view. Can't copy appts. Can't cancel or change 1 day of a repeating appt (makes outlook sync unusable). Single Appt display is terrible (big text, big labels, few character shown). Field sizes are very limited. Basically the calendar is useless compared to my prior Nokia 6126.
Messaging: Navigating messages in a conversation is slow, dates are not always displayed for the messages. Send fails often, requiring resend. No quick way to enable/disable predicted text.
Dialing: Just try to dial 1-800-MATTRES (for example). There is not even a way to pop-up some help for the mapping of letters to numbers for a typical phone keypad.
Voice quality: Sound OK, but people often can't understand me, so maybe the quality in the other direction is bad.
Other: ATT sets the phone up to access data services far too easily without warning. For example, Menu->Settings->Quick Tips brings up a browser and incurs data charges; blue main button brings up a browser, etc.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, poor calendar implementation, some basic usability issues
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
