Tips over, power attachment easily removed by sofa

I've been using this vacuum for over 2 years and it's awful. The suction and weight are the best part, however the vacuum tips or rolls over on it's side as I drag it around on the carpet. Ridiculous. When I'm vacuuming under the sofa the power attachment release gets caught on it somehow and it's left under the sofa. What a waste of money. We replaced an antique Electrolux, which was functioning fine, for this plastic thing because of the weight and now wish we had the old one again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We purchased this in January of 2015 and it is the worst cleaner I have ever used and I have been using cleaners since 1955 and am now 72 years old. It is a very poor design when using on a carpet because it will not follow but tip over because of the design of the 3 wheels in front. I spend more time putting it back on the wheels than cleaning. It does great on a hard surface. Even cleaning carpets it does a great job but the design of the wheels is awful and is very clumsy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had this Jetmaxx El4040A for over three years and has performed very well beyond the expectation. I have bought different models of electrolux as the older models were phased out. My family is a fan of Electrolux.

I bought this vacuum almost 3 years ago and hate it since day 1. This model is more powerful than the old Electrolux vacuum I had. The vacuum head is so heavy and bulky, and it is very hard to move the vacuum up/down my house. Should have returned it but I was too lazy to pack and ship the vacuum back to Amazon.

I bought this several months ago and love it. It's pretty lightweight yet rolls easily - especially on wood floors, but also does fine on carpeting if it's not too thick. I like it so much better than my old, heavy one. JetMaxx behaves well.
