I purchased this with my HP tablet, but wanted to use it with my HP notebook. when it was powered up I followed what instruction I could find to link it to the notebook wirelessly. I was told that it failed 3X, so I inserted the CD in the drive and followed the onscreen instructions. Failed again. I tried to print wirelessly and it worked fine. I hooked up the tablet with the USB cord and was told that the tablet was detected, but I never could find any way to actually print to it. It was never compatible. Returning the tablet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Like Driving a Sports Car!

I am sooooo happy my old HP LaserJet4 finally broke down. My new Pro P1192w printer is like driving a sports car - it's soooo compact and extremely fast. I was especially pleased w/ the price of the printer and ease of setup. Some of the reviews I read made me apprehensive, but setup went smoothly and the directions were very explicit and easy to follow. I also like that it is black - I am now completely color coordinated w/ my computer and backup scanner / color printer! I am happy, happy!

Good Wireless compact printer!

Does the job, while saving space, fast quiet, although not a scanner or copier. I have a small desk in my bedroom and it fits well next to my laptop and speakers. No printer cable is great! Plug in and ready to go! Good deal.

Excellent Printer

I bought this printer because I was tired of buying the ink cartridges for an old HP C3180. I still use the old printer for its flatbed scanner functionality, and I'm glad it has lasted for years.
I couldn't be happier with the my new printer though. I set it up in a Windows virtual machine because I didn't want to deal with any potential wireless problems with Linux. Once I set it up in Windows it was a breeze to configure in Debian Linux with hplip and CUPS. I'm sure I could have set it up initially with Linux, but experience has taught me to follow the path of least resistance sometimes. It now works flawlessly over my wireless connection, and I love not having to turn the printer on/off because it will wake up over the wireless when you start to print and then turn off shortly after again.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to a friend. HP simply makes the best printers period.

This machine works great out of the box. I hooked it up to my computer and ran the software and it printed with exceptional quality. I could not believe how quick it prints.

I bought this printer to replace a HP 1020 laser. It is easy to setup and works well.The only complaint I have is the paper curls if your are printing more than one page at a time. Its a little noisey also.
