Purchased my 7000 plasma 1 year ago, no problems and still a great product. I have recommended this (and other Samsung products) to friends and family. My wife has discovered the joy of watching movies again both, new and classics since owning this set. Thanks again for a great product.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color

There is no need to get the 8000 series models unless you just really need that skype feature. According to extensive professional testing from Plasmatvbuyingguide.com the 7000 and 8000 models performed exactly the same. Even the contrast ratios were the same. They also have a complete guide for professional setting on that site so you will probably will not need to have a ISF certified tech come set it up for you. I love this TV, and I did much research before I purchased one. I had the LED and took it back because of halo effects and bad off viewing angles. I honestly don't know why they push the LED's over the plasma considering the color reproduction and black level advantages in a plasma over a LCD.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, gorgeous tv and pic.
I would recommend this to a friend!

this is a great TV. I was a little low on budget, but i did not want to compromise quality and features. so after a lot of search and research, i found this TV, and it is GREAT !! price, value for price, features, design, size, 3D !! everything .... I just loved it. and i love the internet connectibility it has, such a wonderful feature. 3D conversion is amazing and accurate. 3D movies are wonderful.
I just find samsung products to be excellent, and reasonably priced. I had already bought a samsung TV for my parents (a 40" LCD 6 series) and I loved it...so i decided to look for a samsung when I wanted to buy one for my new place.
this is the first TV i buy with my own money after i started work...and satisfaction is 100 % . Cant say more...

Great TV could use more inputs

Overall the TV is a great value. It has an extremely fast processor and the video quality is great. The 3D experience is as good as it gets for home viewing using active glasses. It is much better in the picture quality than an LCD especially considering the viewing angle. It is viewable from all angles unlike the LCD versions. The only disappointing aspect is too few inputs and the inputs cannot be custom typed. They can be named but only with a short list of common names.
Pros: Bright display, fast rsponse, excellent viewing angle
Cons: not enough inputs, can not type input names

Samsung PN50C7000 3D Very disapointed

I have just purchased this tv for the main reason of Picture in Picture and come to find out that it only works with the antenna input which is no longer being used, then provides
4 hdmi inputs 1 composite and 1 component shared
so if use 1 you can't used the other in my case my satellite
receivers 1 uses composite and the other component
so I to buy a converter to use the second receiver and to top it off the TV remote does not operate the Samsung bluray player, all and all not bad but I was expecting more from Samsung. Thinking of returning it back Very Disapointed

I have bought this TV for 3d.
Soon I discovered that it does not display 3D pictures from media (means home network, USB drive or Hard Drive). It only displays 3d video, so in order to watch my 3d photographic pictures, I have to create slide show and record it as a video. Very inconvenient. Other problems include subtitles and second audio from home network does not play with samsung media share manager.
I have to edit movies to change audio to different language, or display subtitles. Internal speakers are useless, very distorting and poor quality.
USB died in two weeks of use, it burned my USB stick.
The most annoying issue is switching to 3d mode, it has to be done manually, in case of short 3d clips it is a pain.
