Stunning 3D Great Picture!

I have had this tv for two weeks now and have been blown away by the 3D. A few things you may need to know is make sure you get a 3D certified Hdmi cable and set the 3D setting to side by side and then adjust your 3D view point.On the 2D to 3D mode you can adjust the 3D depth it basically sets how strong the 3D power is so it can be set so it don't strain your eyes , this mode can only be adjusted in the 2D to 3D mode. You can only adjust the 3D viewpoint in side by side mode. I've got my 3D depth at 5 and my 3D viewpoint at -2 and the 3D is amazing, things jump right out of the screen. As for the picture on this tv it is really incredible. The only thing about a plasma is you could get some unwanted glare if the tv is directly across or adjacent to windows or in a bright room. If you are considering samsung plasma this is a great tv all around. If getting one for a really bright room you might want to consider the Samsung led it will do great in bright evironments.

Mind blowing TV!

I cannot begin to describe how awesome this TV is. I had been researching sets for about 9 months. I am what you would call a videophile wannabe and I knew I wanted the best possible picture out there. It was between this TV and the Panasonic 65" XVT. Since this TV was relatively new, there were not many reviews out there on the web, however, the reviews that ARE out there have been positive.
Initially, I thought I wanted LED, however, the PQ of this plasma is much better in my opinion. It is great for our living room which is bright. At nighttime, the PQ blows away any LCD or LED. HDTV content on HBO or Showtime looks like 1080p Blu-Ray content and Blu-Rays look even better if you can imagine that.
I actually like the smooth motion enhancer once in a while. It is great for sports.
The apps and 3D are really nice as well.
If you are considering a "hgh end" TV, there is not better set out there when it comes to picture quality at this time!

Best blacks ever in a plasma TV

This is the best picture i have seen compared to all other products out there for sale in a plasma tv and led or lcd tv!
I upgraded from a 52" sony LCD to this 63" Plasma Samsung 3D screen!
I thought i would never buy a plasma tv!
But i changed my mind when I saw this one! The 3D picture is Awesome! Best Blacks I have ever seen! On any other brand! My PC hooked up through the hdmi interface is Amazing! The On screen controls are great! I love the design of the cabinet that Samsung put thier plasma screen in! Way to go Samsung! You have to see it to Believe it! Love the remote control! Well laid out remote and profestional looking and feel! If your in the market for the best picture a flat panel can produce that blows away all the others you must check out this one! You won't be sorry! P.S. make sure to the the starter 3D kit to go with it! Best value for the buck!

AWESOME PICTURE. 24/7 tech support. Only con is possible screen burn with plasma displays. Not a problem if you don't leave fixed image on for long time. This is the best HD picture quality I have seen. 3d is fantastic although not a lot of content available as yet. Need extended warranty coverage as this could be very expensive to fix after Samsung warranty period.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: plasma display subject to screen burn

Best 3D HDTV money can buy!!!

If you are looking for a new HDTV that is crisp, clear and show a stunning vibrant picture, Full 1080p 3D, show the deepest black levels, and only the thinnest plasma around at only 1.4" thick ... then look no further. This TV was made for the movie lover in all of us.
Samsung has out done themselves with their line of plasmas. Best TV I ever bought and would recommend this to anybody. I was going to get the Panasonic, but after seeing how this Samsung performs and that its much thiner than any plasmas out on the market today. Its a no brainer. The 3D is perfect! No ghosting or any hiccups. Go to your .. no .. run to your nearest favorite retailer and snag yourself one of these. You will be amazed!!!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, very thin at only 1.4"

Knock Your Pannys Off

We've owned the 63" for more than 6 months now. I compared the Samsung, Panansonics and LGs extensively last year (2010). Ultimately it came down to subtle differences between Samsung and Panasonic, LG never met any of my expectations. Colors on both look phenomenal but Samsung was slightly better, IMO (CNETs calibration is preferred versus plasmatvbuyingguide). The aesthetics easily went to Samsung. The main factor was that we watch tv in our living room mostly with average to low lighting and rarely in the dark. The Samsung looked best but produced deep enough blacks in the dark (post amateur calibration). Panasonic might have had a slighty deeper black but only in a dark room. Overall I'm very satisfied!
Pros: Realistic color
I would recommend this to a friend!

For years I was told not to buy a plasma. I finally bought this one and I love it. Excellent picture. All my friends that come over to visit loves it and wants one.

63" Class (62.9" Diag.) 8000 Series 3D 1080p Plasma HDTV

I debated back and forth between this TV and the 65" Panasonic. I was leaning toward the Panasonic when I had the sales person put the Panasonic demo disk in the Samsung Blue Ray player so I could compare apples to apples so to speak. (Note: Samsung needs to get a better Demo Disk!)
The Good: The Samsung TV came alive. It was equal to or better than the Panasonic. So why did I buy the Samsung... It has Picture in Picture ( an unadvertised feature), The base swivels, and the Internet feature set is so much better than the Panasonic. It was thinner and it provided up convert 2D to 3D. Plus it was cheaper... better bang for the buck.
Now the Bad:
The 1st TV died in 10 days. The power supply fried.
Now the Good: The store delivered a new replacement TV the next day for FREE. Great customer service.
The Good: The Samsung TV came alive. It was equal to or better than the Panasonic. So why did I buy the Samsung...
