Great Camera

I purchased this camera for the purpose of taking it on a 2 week trip to Alaska. This camera was an outstanding choice. Compact, lightweight, easy to use and very good quality all in one package for a great price. People who are giving this camera bad reviews simply don't know how to use it correctly. I took all my pics at full resolution and also took plenty of HD videos, most of which were in flight, both in fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. The camera performed flawlessly. Upon arriving back home from my trip, I looked at the pictures and videos on a 65" plasma television and they looked amazing. Don't be afraid to buy this camera, it's very good.

i had been a loyalist to a different brand of electronics, but am no longer heartbroken in this camera affair! this has all the features in a camera you could want and more. the icons for the touchscreen are usable even with sausage fingers; your fingers will not get in the way of the lens; your camera won't turn on in your pocket taking great shots of lint; you'll be able to capture video in split seconds thanks to a button rather than scrolling through features (so you'll be able to get that action when you need it!); and the zoom is beyond that of which other companies provide. i will not buy another camera for years to come! unless i lose this one (and then i'll buy another canonSD3500IS!
Pros: good battery life, excellent image quality, easy to use

Another Outstanding Canon PowerShot

This is my third Canon Elf. It is by far my favorite. I loved, loved, loved my 880 (my son is using it now and loves it!) and I thought none could be better. I was wrong. This is better. I had a Canon SD980 Touch Screen for about 2 months. It was a good camera, but I would not say great. I accidently dropped it in the ocean. Best accident I ever had. This SD3500 is so much better. I love the large 3.5" LCD. I love the simple to understand touch screen. I was able to take great photos before I even read the manual. My first photos were in the house with low light. The pictures were great. The camera is easy to hold, fits in my pocket very well, doesn't seem to smudge, and it is just fun to use. I have had the camera for about a week and I can not find any negative features.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

This is my third Canon Powershot. Previous to this model I had an SD630 IS and an SD960 IS. I loved both cameras, but I couldn't resist the new touchscreen feature. The quality of the photos are excellent in any lighting (indoor, low light, outdoor). Best yet, the 3.5 LCD screen makes viewing photos clearer.
Some missing features/settings: Stitch Assist Mode and a higher ISO setting (3200).
Otherwise, another satisfied purchase from Canon.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, easy to use
Cons: Missing features/settings, price

After searching for over a year, this camera just came at the right time. Bought it april 8 and used all wknd. while traveling from Phx. to beach. The weight is perfect, touchscreen fun to use (just play around with it or ask technical help-they are so great). Charged it on Sat. and it was good for 4 days with some life left. Just need to get used to doing that. Think CELL PHONE. Played with some features, but auto is perfect for quick shots. It responds quickly.....my husband took a shot of a seagull eating from my fingers! Heartedly recommend this camera for anyone who wants a great pic and easy to carry.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

For 5 years I’ve had the same camera and decided I needed to upgrade. After all, my old camera was only 5.0 mega pixels and didn't have the world's greatest zoom. I was a little hesitant at first with this camera having a touch screen and didn't think I would be able to handle it. All it took was an afternoon of making practice shots at anything and everything. I absolutely loved this camera by the time I was done. It's easy to use, the picture quality is outstanding and it's a small enough size to fit in your pocket or purse. I’m extremely impressed! I haven't found any cons with this camera!
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

I didnt know anything about cameras when I began looking, I have heard nothing but good about cannon cameras. I wanted a easy to use, good camera. So far I love the zoom, the image quailty and the fact that this camera works for people that dont know much, but the basics of taking pictures. I would recommend this camera to people who want good pictures, quailty and style!
Pros: Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

I bought this camera a week ago using gift card I got for Father's Day. Since I have only had it a week, I have not had a chance to try it in a lot of different situations but in over 50 pictures I have taken, only one was not good quality. With my prior camera, I got a large number of out of focus shots, dark pictures and fuzzy ones if subject moved. I love the touch screen which makes setting up scenes easier, and the big screen makes reviewing pictures a pleasure with so many options such as a slide show. I was a bit apprehensive about using a screen vs a viewfinder, especially in bright light but that has not proved to be a problem. All in all, I am extremely satisfied one week into it's use. My only complaint the design of the access doors for connecting the camera to a computer or TV are hard to open. The only other negative is the hard copy manual is skimpy but adequate to get started. The manual supplied on the DVD is very comprehensive
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use
Cons: acess door design, skimpy hard copy manual
