Great stovetop, terrible oven

We bought all Frigidaire appliances for our kitchen renovation almost 4 years ago, including this gas stove. We haven't had any problems with the burners. However, the oven is a different story. First, it does not count up as it warms to the set temperature, and it often takes a long time to get there. When the beep finally alerts me that it's ready, it's actually not. The temperature reading is actually NOT the temperature inside the oven. To remedy this, I bought an oven thermometer. Another issue is that it does not cook evenly, so we bought ceramic tiles to line the bottom rack because we heard that might spread the heat a bit more evenly. These things have not completely worked, as the oven temperature fluxuates during baking. It is so frustrating to try to bake cookies, cakes, and casseroles when we can't get a regulated cooking temp. I'm not a complainer, but I also don't want someone else to buy this model and struggle as I have with the appliance. And for the price, I don't want to call a repair man, thus sinking even more money into an appliance that has cost me hundreds of dollars in food cost from ruined recipes. We are looking to rid ourselves of this frustrating piece of equipment, but my husband wants all of our appliances to match. So I have stopped baking for now, which is quite sad because I enjoy it very much. Maybe Frigidaire's other oven models are better...maybe we just got a dud. Either way, I'm sad and continually disappointed over the results of our purchase.

We bought the Fridigaire FFGF3049LS range because of the 5th burner, great looks and simple design. Overall it works great. The quick boil burner is the best and the oven heats up just as expected and temperature is very accurate. Unfortunately, after only having this range for a few months, it broke. I was making dinner one evening, pushed the control button to turn the oven off with normal force and the control panel broke from its position and fell inside the top metal structure of the range. My husband and I pulled the range out and tried to reposition the control panel back where it belonged but the cheap plastic fasteners had broken off. We tried to glue it back into place but the next time we used the oven, the heat compromised the glue and it fell back in. We have just lived with it this way for over a year now because we can still reach in and press the buttons but it looks unsightly and it's inconvenient. I'm not impressed by the quality of the product Frigidaire is offering. It was very disappointing and I won't buy this brand again.

Initially we are happy but with in 6 months it started rusting surrounding the big burner. Now we feel our old range (not Frigi..) was better than this new one. replaced old range even it was working fine but the color was faded as it was was white.

Cheep grill finish and oven temputure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 3 months ago and am not all that happy with it. The finish on the grills wears off within weeks, complained and was ship new ones, same result.
There is no way to tell when the oven reaches the requested temperature other then a very low volume bell that if you are not standing next to the stove you will not hear it

If you have cast iron grates, follow these steps:
1.Wash the grates in the dishwasher.
2.Coat the grates with a thin layer of cooking oil.
3.Bake the grates in the oven on 350?F for 10 minutes.
If you have porcelain-coated grates, simply place them in the dishwasher and coat any unfinished areas with a thin layer of cooking oil after washing. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. Courtney

Hey Rick BBB, if you think the oven is cooking too hot or too cool for your recipe times, you can adjust the control so the oven cooks hotter or cooler than the temperature displayed. Page 13 in your Owner’s Manual shows gives you the directions for adjusting the temperature. If your clock is not operational, it may need service.
