There is good value with this model, easy operation, nice icemaker and filtered water. Very efficient, it has lowered my electric bill noticeably. It does make some strange noises, gurgling, and whirring, but I got used to it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

it's ok but not the best

We purchased a new house and this was the fride in the house so we didn't have much choice. Overall it is fine but within a week of us using it the temperature displays were on the fritz causing the fridge to be almost as cold as the freezer. Within one week of using it one of the door shelves fell out when I opened the door - and it touched our wood floors and cracked in half. I haven't gotten a replacement yet cause i would have to call a parts dealer and that is a hassel - wish I could just order on line. And another reason I don't like it is it doesn't fit a pizza box in it.... not a big deal but sort of is...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

One tough appliance!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 9 years and counting! I absolutely love my Frigidaire Side by side Refrigerator/Freezer. My husband bought for us for Christmas 2011. We have never had any problems with this unit, except for replacing the water filter. We had to remember to make sure the auger in the ice bin was lined up right when replacing the ice bin. It has to be lined up correctly so the ice bin fits into place with the drive mechanism, otherwise the refrigerator will only dispense crushed ice. Also, the freezer door may not close properly if ice bin does not line up correctly, causing warm air to leak into freezer. (See page 17 in Use and Care Guide for more information on Ice Maker and Ice Bin.). Excellent unit and still going strong
