Great looking....but

I went back and forth with the new model LEDTV's out there and pulled the trigger on this Samsung after being blown away by the picture quality in four different stores. I took it out of the box and was amazed by how absolutely stunning it is. Hooked it up and watched Avatar....WOW!!!! I also hooked up the PS# and noticed really bad flash-lighting effects during loading scenes....:( Read up on some on-line forums found it to be normal with this style TV...annoying but I can live with it. After about a week I realized this TV wont keep my channels programed...??? figured as it is not my main TV for cable viewing and not directly hooked up to the box I can live with it. Went way on business for about two weeks then noticed the TV would turn off from time to time...figured i must have hit the remote by accident. then the remote became unresponsive and the red LED on the TV would just blink like crazy....tried the buttons on the set...same thing! had to unplug the TV to get things working again and the next day the TV wouldn't turn on at all. Well I have a service request out and the repair company is going to do an in home repair. They ordered new boards for the TV and I am waiting for the parts to arrive. I will have an updated review once the repair is complete. For now I can say I am still in love with this TV... Wish the flash lighting wasn't there for the amount i payed i expected better quality from a quality brand, but as it is only in the darkest of scenes that is rare enough that I can live with it. I am very impressed with the customer service as I was contacted in 48 hours and handling the initial service request online was painless and fast. CANT WAIT TO GET THIS FIXED!!!! I miss my Gaming on this amazing TV!!! Three starts because it broke in the first month otherwise this is a solid FIVE short one star due to flash lighting effects.

Replaced a 10 year old Sony rear-projection that died a slow death. Looked at many brands, technologies and sizes of flat screens. Being a retired cable engineer I know how to judge picture quality with all its nuances. Picked up this LED wonder, brought it home plugged it in and the picture is perfect right out of the box.
Was a bit skeptical of the internet capabilities but was pleasantly surprised with the many available ap's. It would be great if they added gmail. Wouldn't have to keep my laptop in the living room. Hopefully that and many others will be coming.
At first I thought a bit pricey but after delving into it I now see the value.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We purchased this beautiful 55 inch LED TV after seeing it on display at the local stores. Our intention was to purchase a LCD 55 - 60 inch TV but after seeing this TV on display and speaking with an associate, our decision to switch to a LED was easy. This TV has beautiful clarity, realistic color and is very easy to operate. It's slim design, ease of installation and lightweightness are wonderful assets. We were reluctant to purchase a LED because of all the negative reviews we read regarding the speakers in the slim design. We can say, we have no issues with the speakers in this TV, they work wonderful. We would definetly recommend this TV to our friends and family.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

I love this tv!!!! We got it just in time to enjoy the NBA playoffs and it has been great!!! We shopped around since Christmas and we are happy that we finally found the right one. We would totally recommend this AWESOME tv!

Wow! What clarity. I'm very impressed with the picture quality and all the features. It's lightweight and easy to wall-mount (recommended). The internet widgets are fun; streaming Netflix in HD is like playing a regular Blu-Ray (of course, this depends on your internet speed). It's so clear and fluid (240hz?) that it's almost like looking out your window. Movies almost don't seem like movies anymore because the picture is sooooooo clear and fluid ... not necessarily a drawback, but something to consider. There may be an option to change back to 60hz. Very very pleased.

It had some pixelation in some scenes and motion blur was bad. I tried playing with the auto motion plus but was then getting ghosting. I returned it. The picture quality was sharp and crisp during still or slow moving images.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What a picture

I stood in front of so many TV's that my feet were getting sore. I wound up where all the TV's were on the same video loop under the same lighting conditions and I must say this Samsung led had the most incredible picture of all the LED's LCD's and Plasmaa"s. I figured after it got home it would have some loss with the cable company but the hi-def channels were just as crisp. The depth of field is incredible and takes some getting used to because the clarity of the subject focused on is ridiculous, You feel like you are right in with the picture. Live broadcast events put you right in the action. Wives beware on football day. You can count the blades of grass on the field. This TV is incredible not to mention all the features

Cons: feet on stand stick out to far foward causing you, to recess it back if you are putting, it in a wall unit or entertainment, center. designed to stand on a flat top or, wall mount.

Once I saw this in the store I knew my 55" rear projection tv days were numbered. The picture and color is absolutely eye popping in HD, utterly fantastic watching a blue ray disc, and baseball never looked better (come on football season). Zero motion blur. Set-up is a breeze including scanning HD channels. When your significant other says, "wow" when she sees it for the first time in your family room you know you did good by buying this LEDTV.
