Excelent product

I have had the tv for a couple months now and am very happy. The colors are stunning and the blacks are black with excelent detail after tuning the picture. The specs say it doesnt have PIP but it does. The only drawback is that images tend to linger when the screen goes black but that is part of owning a plasma. Well worth it to get the better picture quality over LCD
I would recommend this to a friend!

The ease of use, the features and the great picture, toghether
with the great value, who needs to go to the movies. I would
recommend this TV to all. Also purchased a Blue-Ray
and the movies are great.

I recently purchased the 50" plasma 550G SERIES TV. It was a easy pick for me. The size, price, and quality could not be matched. The set up was easy compared to other brand LCD TV'S I have purchased. The picture quality is great in HD and with Blue Ray. I ,also enjoy the swivel tv stand that comes with it; Many brands don't have this feature.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Deep colors and easy setup. Great speakers although I now use an AVR and external speakers. Intuitive remote. Worth the price.

TV was easy to assemble on its base and to get set-up
We like that the base swivels - unexpected surprise!
Remote is basic and relatively ugly, but we're using Time Warner's remote instead so it doesn't make a huge difference
Since purchasing this TV, we learned two things that we would've liked to know in advance:
(1) 1080p is only for Blue-Ray, so when watching cable TV, it's actually using 1080i
(2) the 600Hz is more of a marketing thing since the cable only provides 60Hz, so we can't change this
Other disappointment is that the TV shows pixels / little boxes broken up when paused or when we change the channel. It's also a bit slow to change channel or turn on/off. Must be since it's so big and requires a lot of thinking to get the job done!

Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: picture not same as advertised watching cable tv, slow reaction time
I would recommend this to a friend!
