Poor Firmware Support

I love the specs and ease of use but several firmware updates had their drawbacks. First the removed Searching on Netflix and now Youtube does not connect to the servers. Once in a while it locks up and cannot fast forward on certain DLNA files, which means the codecs need updating. Also, there is some nasty hissing from the speakers for a few minutes when it turns on. Going from powering On to finally starting a Netflix video also takes forever. Too many things load just to move through the menu.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this system so much I bought a back up because mine is around 12 years old and used everyday, it is the perfect sound when it comes to surround. Nothing but good to say about this system. If mine goes I got another ready to put in its place !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am really enjoying my new B-Ray all in one home theater system. I upgraded from a DVD all in one home theater system and my family really noticed the difference. In fact while i am typing this my wife is enjoying some HD explosions in MW2. I would have liked to have seen a better (sturdy) speaker wires especially for the rear.

This was probably the best investment I have made- The set up was a snap and even though I am electronically challenged, I got it up and running in less than one hour- Ther quality is awesome and playback is great. I enjoy all sorts of movies old and new-regular dvd's look better than before-I would recommend this system to anyone who loves movies and wants to get into blue ray movies-

Great Home Theater

One of the best purchases I've made to go with my new LG 50PK750 plasma. The sound quality is excellent. I love the SimpLink feature with the new tv. The features and the playback on this is unit great. I have no complaints. The interface is very simple to use. I would recommend to buy this unit.

Unexpected noises

The home theater is great but it has a really terrible drawback: you can listen to a whistle from its speakers all the time. It's very annoying and can make you mad, sometimes. I've been trying to figure out a solution for this, without success yet.
I hope I get a communication from LG's QA, because except for this complaint, the home theater is fantastic.
