Love this blender!! Works for big jobs or small! Easy to operate, works so well, and easy to clean. Looks sleek, too. I use it for smoothies and for making food pouches for my toddler. Multi-purpose! Fast and simple.

Would Not Buy Again

Lasted about 2 years with minimal use. The pieces that connect on the pitcher and the motor wear very quickly and will stop blending. Very poor design. The pitcher also started getting cracks in it the first year and would leak.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

bordering garbage

Hello there, we are a family who uses alot of kitchen aid things. We had this blender in storage for the last couple years as we didnt have room in our old small house for it. Since then we have moved into our new house with much more room. We were very excited to get this our of storage and make our daily smoothies, this was about 9 months ago. It has leaked every time and it just gets worse. It leaks out the bottom where the nut is loose and you cant tighten the darn thing up. VERY DISSAPOINTED!!!!!! I also just read the reviews of this hunk of junk and everyone says the same thing. So as far as im concerned this is going in the garbage where it belongs and we will never buy Kitchen aid again! sorry if there are spelling errors.

I use this blender every day. Sadly the serve pitcher leaks from the bottom, making a mess.
I have been buying KitchenAid small appliances for over 30 years but this is a huge disappointment.
Will purchase a newer model and hope the same thing will not happen

good but one design flaw

The design flaw I have found with using this for about 6 months now is that the nut used to hold the washer tight to the jar under the blades comes loose with use. Particularly when using the crush Ice feature, which is what I most bought this for.
If you buy this I recommend before first use that you put some threadlocker on the threads to keep it from loosening up during operation. Otherwise, it is very powerful, and has a great mixing design you can clearly see while operating. I may consider buying another Jar assembly and do just as I suggested on this one.

the design is a big departure from the types that you would take completely apart (jar from the washer and blades) to wash. It does seem this one is not supposed to come apart for cleaning.
On the last note, the rubber washer, under the blades, is quite flimsy and with too much torque, it will squeeze the washer out from under the blades thus allowing it too leak anyway.
Pros: Powerful, Convenient Features, Performance, easy to use
Cons: nut comes loose easily, over tightening leads to leak anyway
