I received this as a Christmas gift from my son. He drove it all the way from Alabama to Chicago. It never got cold and this is almost a month later. He still searching for the receipt for a replacement. Really disappointing
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor quality.

My second wine cellar just died. I should have learned after the first one. Would not recommend. It just started beeping and display flashing. Unplugged and now will not turn on at all. Time to try a different manufacturer.

HORRIBLE

Just beeps after a power outage, what a piece of junk! Only used a couple months I’m not paying foe someone to come fix it how ridiculous. Should have read the review! Now we have to pay to throw it out…. JUNK!!!

During a power outage, unplug the unit from the outlet until power has been restored. If the unit isn't working after reconnecting, make sure that the unit is plugged in and that the wall outlet is getting power.

One power outage killed two fridges

So unhappy. We had a power outage and now the two fridges just sit there and beep. There's nothing in the manual to describe how to fix it. Reading reviews and comments it sounds like it's fried control board. Totally unacceptable. Will never buy this brand again

In the event of a power outage, you should unplug the wine cellar from the electrical outlet and plug the power cord back into the outlet when power has been restored. If your wine cellar is not working after reconnecting, you will want to first verify that the wine cellar is plugged into a working outlet and check if there is power to the wall outlet. You will also want to make sure the unit is turned on and that the thermostat control is set to a cold temperature setting. If it is running but not cooling, you can find helpful troubleshooting tips in this support article: https://www.haierappliances.com/support/support-content/34995.

Common problem with power

I have a very similar problem that the other reviews are talking about. The power unit seems to be out in the top half of the dual cooling. It’s an easy part to replace but it looks as though the parts are not available. I think I will try a different brand.

This is horrible. I'm experiencing beeping now after a power outage that I had no knowledge of until I came home on a perfect day with NO clouds or lightening.

Also have the same issue as others. Brief power outage, and now the beeping. The manual says the temp needs to be reset, however the display won't illuminate, so there is no way to adjust the temp. I bought an extended warranty, but it now says the machine isn't available. Everything should be refunded at this point.

same thing all reviews say . all i did was unplug it for 2 min. to change where it was plugged in and now just beeps . don't buy this unless you like to have products fail for no reason . very poor manufacture.

We recommend resetting your wine cellar by disconnecting power from the unit for 2 - 3 minutes and reconnecting power. If this reset does not revert the unit back to normal operating function, this will require service by a qualified technician.
