My previous phone was a Note 3 and I am so impressed with the Note Edge. The screen is absolutely beautiful. The colors in images are so vibrant and clear. I took a picture with this phone and the changes they made to make taking a selfie friendly truly is a home run! You tons of apps but the best part is my Gear Neo works S Health!!! They finally fixed the issue. I feel it will be years before I give this phone!
I bought the Galaxy Note EDGE and have been using it for a few days now. It is the best phone I have ever used and it is the best one Samsung has ever made! I do not know why so many tech sites are dismissing this phone as a gimmick, because it is probably the biggest breakthrough in wireless phone technology in the last several years.
The media critics obviously are dismissing it and its features without ever touching the phone. To answer some of the concerns I have heard: There have been no false touches, the phone is very easy to hold and comfortable even with one hand. The edge screen has a thin metal trim below it where you can rest your fingers. It has 180 degree mode where if you turn the phone upside down, the screen turns with it, allowing you to move the Edge screen to the left side. The phone is also very durable and not at all fragile looking as some have suggested. The speakers, even though located on the back, are rich and robust, and call sound quality is also improved even since the S5. TouchWiz interface has also been significantly improved even since the Tab S release version! I was debating between buying this, the Note 4 or a phone from another manufacturer, and I am VERY GLAD I chose this!
The Edge screen is NOT just a gimmick, it is very functional as it is , and has extra panels you can use with it. The Favorite Apps panel and the Edge Task Manager panel will soon become a feature you cannot live without! It is like having a launcher dock on the side of your phone so you do not have to swipe and go into your home screens to find the app you want to launch or to get back to the one you recently used. After my short time using this feature, I already cannot imagine going back to using a phone without this feature!
This Edge panel along with all the features of the NOTE 4 make this phone an absolute Beast! It is expensive, but within price range of other phones in its class, and if you can swing it, it is worth the extra $.
I just hope Samsung developers support and create unique apps for it, because it would be ashame for this innovative technology not to move forward! This is an amazing piece of cutting edge technology (pun intended)!
-------------------------- Not to take anything away from the beauty and function of this phone but there is one negative experience I had with purchasing this phone, it has nothing to do with the phone, but the way at&t diminishes the buying experience:
The only gripe I have about purchasing this phone is with the packaging on the at&t version! At&t has removed the Note Edge (and Note 4 too) from its original eco-friendly Samsung white box, and placed it in their ugly orange and white at&t branded boxes! At&t has also REMOVED THE HEADSET from the contents of the original packaging, so you do not get headphones with their carrier version of the phone! Samsung and other manufacturers need to start standing up to these carriers and refuse to let them diminish their brand by destroying the initial presentation a customer has with their product. When I get a new tech item, I enjoy the "unboxing" process... at&t takes this away with their generic packaging and their additional redundant bloatware that they add to their phones. This box switch has me seriously contemplating changing carriers for my next upgrade.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, edge panel screen, s pen, metal frame, great camera with image stabilization/uhd, quad hd super amoled display, customizable edge panels
Cons: at&t packaging, at&t bloatware, at&t pricing higher than other carriers
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm a Samsung S4 owner and just upgraded to the Samsung Note EDGE and I love it so far. I had to get used to the bigger phone size but now I love it. It is super fast and smooth, the edge screen is also starting to be very handy after setting up with the right shortcuts. Good job Samsung!
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

I read all the reviews online as the release date for this phone appraoched. I was amazed that there wasn't more excitement about it. I was getting a bit bored by flat rectangular screens that have become the norm. I just couldn't wait to get my Edge, and I have not been disappointed. In fact, I've been quite pleasantly surprised.
The other reviews don't talk about how really useful the edge of the display is. I can keep all my favorite apps there, ready to activate no matter which page I'm on. Keeping those 15 apps there frees up space on my screen pages, so that I need fewer pages full of folders and icons. I love this!
As I'm playing games or watching a movie, notifications can appear on the edge without disturbing too much. I find this also quite interesting.
I loved the flip case for my Note 3. Its window on the front displayed date and time, and would notify me of incoming calls. Just opening the case would unlock the phone, so easy! I wondered what the flip case for the Note Edge would be like. Now I have it and it's awesome! Date and time show on the edge when the case is closed, and in a gorgeous, animated way. When a call comes in, I"m notified there. It tells me to say "Answer" to answer the call, and that works great! Hands free! And, as before, just opening the case unlocks the phone. Closing the case locks it. So easy!
I"m a pro photographer, and my fine art photography looks great on this extremely high resolution phablet. So very much detail is visible. I use a 36 MP pro camera, and have downloaded thousands of full resolution images to this phone. It has no problem handling these huge files.
I am a bit worried about the edge, as it is exposed when the case is closed, but I am pretty careful and so hope this won't be a problem.
My only complaint is about the new software interface for setting up images for the lock and home screen. It does offer some nice new functionally, such as auto switching multiple images, and zoom and pan, But the interface is cumbersome and imprecise. I don't know if this is a Samsung or Android 4.4.4 issue, but I hope a better software version comes out soon for this.
The S pen has become a must have for me, and the new one is great. I love using it for screen capture, as well as all normal interaction.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, high res display, the innovative edge, s pen
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got the galaxy edge 2 days back and have explored lot of features including the edge. All work fantastic. But I have a big problem with the battery. It does not stay charged even for 12 hrs. I have had to charge it 4 times already in the last 2 days. I thought I may be exploring too much so I charged it fully and took it off from charging before going to bed around 11 and got up at 7 in the morning to find the battery had drained out already which really is very very bad. If the bettery drains out 90% without usage then it is absolutely a worthless phone.
Anytime a new device comes out, I ask myself what could they possibly improve on? I recently had a note 3 until a few days ago, I came home and my new note edge had came in the mail. upon opening the box I was quite impressed with the design, then after popping the battery in and turning it on; I was blown away! Stunning display, fluid movement, and very responsive. The features I'm still learning, but I must say, they've done it again! Good work Samsung, and as I learn more I shall post more.
For a first time device of its kind, this phone has been exceptional! The feel of the device at first is a little funny but is adaptable. The Edge is so handy, I use it all the time. If you're thinking it will get in the way, think again! I've not had one accident with it yet! No lag issues or anything. From a Note 3 to this device has been a smoot transition! I LOVE the phone and Samsung keeps making the best devices.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, features, ease of use, met all expectations
