Swiffer Sweeper Works Great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Swiffer Base Starter Kit is really a wonderful product. My kit arrived very late but I have used it a couple times. It works wonderful on my laminate floor as well as tile. It makes cleaning floors so much easier. I have recommended this to many people around the holidays. It made cleaning the floors a piece of cake!

Like the wet pad better

Swiffer Sweeper Base Starter Kit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this swiffer sweeper to clean my entire upstairs. I was able to accomplish this by using just one of the the included wet pads to clean the hardwood floors. I think this starter kit gives you enough to get started and clean your house a couple of times before having to buy replacement pads.

The best fur picker-upper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a cat and dog. Needless to say, they both shed fur...a lot of it and...I have wood floors. We Swiffer everyday to keep the floors clean and to prevent fur balls from migrating under furniture. It does a fantastic job! I've been a Swiffer customer for the last 10 years!

Saving the Day!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Swiffer. I am a smidge crazy about my cleaning routines, and Swiffer makes it so much easier. I sweep with a traditional broom, get up all the big bits, and then follow with the swiffer and get all the tiny bits my normal broom leaves behind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sweeper itself was very easy to assemble and is skinny enough to store very conveniently. It's easy to put on both the dry and wet cloths (though the wet ones do require you getting your hands wet a bit). I loved the flexibility of the sweeper and the ability to reach under lots of furniture and in small spaces easily. While the dry sweeper picked up all the dust and hairs in my room, it did not pick up the larger pieces - such as small bits of of gravel or cookie crumbs. I felt the need to sweep with a traditional broom and dustpan afterwards because of this, but for dust, dog fur, hair, and dirt, the dry cloths work great! For the wet cloths, I absolutely loved the smell. They were very saturated when I took them out of the packaging and did drip a little bit at first so make sure to put it on over the surface you're planning on mopping. The wet sweeper worked AMAZING. I share a room with 3 people and there was a party a few nights before I tried this product, so you can imagine the floors being very sticky. There were also some tire marks due to one of my roommates learning to unicycle (emphasis on learning here). To say the least, the mop was put up to a very large task. I am happy to say it worked wonders! The wet cloths really did clean all of the spots and sticky messes on the floor and it didn't require a ton of pressure or hard work. My one complaint with the wet cloths was that they were all packaged individually, which I don't believe is the best choice from an environmental standpoint. Other than that one issue, I would definitely use this product again!

Great for quick clean-ups

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this is a pretty good kit and a good starter kit to see if you like the Swiffer line of products.
With your initial kit, you will get:
1) A mop - took me about 1-2 minutes total to assemble to pole. Super easy!
2) 3 wet floor mopping pads
3) 7 dry pads

Adding a pad to the mop is relatively easy. The handle is also adjustable, a very nice feature if you are either tall or short. I have been using it on quick clean-ups, like a spilled drink or to remove some random sticky substance on the floor my kids place randomly throughout the house. I wouldn't advise using it for large clean-ups as the pads do get pretty dirty pretty fast. It seems as if the larger the clean-up, the more it felt like I was just pushing the dirt around the floor versus actually absorbing it into the pad. Either that, or you'll go through a few pads at once for large jobs. Once you are done with a pad, simply pull it off and throw it in the trash. The only downside is the cost to replace the pads could get pricey if you use it a lot.
Overall, I found it a good product and easy to use in a pinch for small cleanups. I would recommend it to busy moms and dads who are looking for an easy clean up option, especially if you have small children.
