Not my favorite way to clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have engineered hardwood floors on our entire main floor, so I was looking forward to testing out the swiffer products. The dry swiffer worked well on dusty areas and small crumbs but it didn't pick up the dog hair as well as I thought it would. Mostly it just pushes it around if there were more than a handful of hairs on the floor. The wet swiffer pads worked well, however I would recommend squeezing them out a bit before putting them on. The pads were so wet that it left the floors soaked and I had to go back & dry them with a towel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My house has a large open kitchen, dining and living room that has stone floors that need frequent cleaning. We have a large, heavy floor cleaning machine, but needed something for everyday maintenance. That's where the Swiffer Sweeper comes in. With two kids and a puppy who sheds, I needed something easy to use on a daily basis that was compact enough to store close by. This fit the bill! The dry cloth picked up the dust bunnies and most of the crumbs and dog hair, although it did seem to push some of the debris around instead of staying on the cloth. It was quick and easy to switch to the wet cloth for a more thorough cleaning and I loved the scrubby section of the cloth to get up the ground in gunk on the floor. Even my kids enjoyed using it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wasn't sure if the Swiffer Sweeper Base Starter Kit was going to be worth it. But after spending some time using it, I think that it is. It is not a total replacement for the broom and dustpan or mop and bucket, but for quickly being able to tidy up the floors between cleanings, it's totally worth it.
The kit comes disassembled, but snaps together super quick. Slap on a dry cloth and you're on your way in less than a minute. In looking at the cloth after going over the kitchen floor, it's clear that the thing really is a dirt magnet. There's a lot on there; small crumbs, one of my daughter's hair elastics and plenty of cat hair. Lots and Lots of cat hair. We have two, and all hard wood and tile. This thing is great for picking up all of that fuzz that the seem to drop off everywhere. What is also nice is that the cloth curls up over the edge of the Swiffer, so it makes it easy to run along the baseboard and get the dust and dander that sits there.
Now there are some limitations. Larger crumbs and other "objects" just get pushed around. Also, if something bigger does end up getting stuck under there, it raises up the pad, so you tend to miss some spots. But that's not what the Swiffer is really for, hence my earlier comment about it not totally replacing the broom and dustpan. We still need to pull that out of cleaning day. But to straighten up the kitchen after dinner, this is the quick and easy way to go.
Also, I can clean the whole house (3 bedrooms, 2 bath, Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen) with just one cloth. Sometimes I can even get two go arounds on one depending on how dirty things are. I liked the wet cloths too, but again, they have there limits. Is the Swiffer your best bet after the kids track their muddy footprints through the kitchen and down the hall? Probably not. With that much, once the cloth becomes full of mud, they don't work so well and just kind of push stuff around. But, for a small spill or those little sticky spots that seem to mysteriously appear in the living room, these work pretty well, and are a whole lot easier than pulling out the mop and bucket. The only real complaint that I have is that the don't really have much scrubbing power. I wish that there was a rougher part that you could use to scour a bit to get up those harder spots. But other than that, they do what they were designed to do pretty well.
So, now that I have the starter kit, I will definitely be buying the refills. I'm not getting rid of any of the other cleaning tools in the house, but am certainly glad to be able to add these to the arsenal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My floors have never been cleaner -- this is so much easier than using my traditional broom and mop. Frankly, it was a bit embarrassing the first time I used the dry cloths on the floor. I had already swept with my regular broom, and I was amazed how much more dirt and dust were picked up by the Swiffer cloths. And the wet cloths clean my Pergo floor in the kitchen beautifully. I can't believe how easily they got up all the spills and spots. This is the only product I'll be using from now on!

Glitter grabber

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I made 24 huge bows for decorating at my church. The ribbon chosen for me to use was open weave and glitter. Any movement caused the glitter to flow from that ribbon like water over Niagra Falls. And bow making is movement intense...so glitter was everywhere. In comes the Swiffer. I was shocked and elated. It really gathered up and swept away all that glitter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Today I received the New Swiffer Sweeper Starter kit for a test. It just take less than 3 minutes to assemble the aluminum light weight handle, and to attach the cloth. I have had to used it sometime ago, but let me tell you that their is a lot of improvement in the actual product design. We have an Italian tiles in our house floor, and we cleaned it once a week. We use the Sweeper for the detailing, it cleans all the small debris, like dog hair, that the mops couldn't do it. Specially when you clean the floor corners, it's very easy to do it. Works as a magnetic cloth, with little effort. It's not good for heavy dirty floors, in my opinion is better for detailing. After each used, we discard the cloth, and disassemble the handle for proper storage. I recomend it.

Sweepingly Delightful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Swiffer Sweeper. I have just moved from a home where I had almost no flooring--all but the kitchen and bathroom were carpet . I now live in a house that is almost all hardwood and tile--I was surprised how much cat hair, dust, and lint collects on hardwood--not to mention tile. I sweep the floors but that does not always get all of the dust and cat hair so the Swiffer was a great help with this. I also love that if I am pressed for time I can glide the Swiffer over the kitchen floor faster than my company can get from the driveway to the front door--well, almost. I love that I am able to quickly change the cleaning cloths and the wet cloths are great on the tile in the bathroom. While the functioning of the Swiffer is the most impressive part the penultimate part of this kit was that the whole thing fits in one small box and has no wasted packaging. I was impressed that there is no superfluous packing material and the whole sweeper fits into one small box. I love that this sweeper is quieter than a broom, my cat is still jumpy from the move and easily upset. I also love that it is small enough to easily fit into the small closet I have for cleaning materials. I love that it is lightweight, I had back surgery last year and some days bending to use a dust pan is not an option so I love that the lightweight Swiffer can be picked up and the cloth tossed out without me having to bend. I cannot say how fond I am of Swiffer in general. I have the duster, easily the best duster for a ceiling fan or high areas of the walls and like the sweeper, dust is almost attracted to it. I also had the Wet Jet at my old home and it was great on my linoleum floors.
