Extreme Disappointment in Swiffer Bissel

I wanted to add my extreme disappointment in Swiffer and Bissel for discontinuing the Steamboost replacement pads. Due to the fact that neither Swiffer or Bissel took their customers in consderation in making this decision, the companies decision in this case will negatively affect future consideration in purchasing either Swiffer or Bissel products in the future.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We can assure you that decisions to discontinue products are always thought out very carefully, taking several factors, such as consumer purchasing patterns and ongoing consumer research, into consideration. As well, it may be helpful to know that you can use our Swiffer Wet cloths on your Swiffer Bissell Steamboost device. You may want to squeeze out some of the excess solution before use, as the Steamboost device will add liquid to it. Also, the Steamboost mop head is slightly larger than Swiffer Sweeper, so you may need to stretch the cloths a bit to get them into the grippers. Will use home-made pads now

I am sorry to hear that the pads along with the mop are discontinued. I have found that I can cut a bar mop in half and use plain H2O or diluted purple fab juice on them to clean with. The ridges on the bar mop do a good job of scrubbing the floor. 1 pack of 4 bar mops cut in half give me plenty of uses (8) before I need to toss in the wash and re-use. Eco friendly to-boot.

While our Swiffer Steamboost pads have been discontinued, we're happy to say that you can use our Swiffer Wet cloths on your Swiffer Bissell Steamboost device so that you can continue to enjoy a great clean. You may want to squeeze out some of the excess solution before use, as the Steamboost device will add liquid to it. Also, the Steamboost mop head is slightly larger than the Swiffer Sweeper, so you may need to stretch the cloths a bit to get them into the grippers. Shame on you!

Discontinuing a device is one thing, but selling a product to trusting customers and then discontinuing required supplies is outright dishonest. And, save the BS about manually manipulating some ill fitting alternative from another device. Bissell's corporate greed has lost their credibility with me, and obviously, quite a few others. You won't get my business again!

Disappointed in Swiffer

I add my disappointment to other reviews in the fact that you no longer offer this product, thus making my Swiffer Bissell Steam Booster obsolete. I had more confidence in a company like Swiffer (P&G) until now. You suggested some strange alternatives. Perhaps you could send a few samples before I waste more money on a hope and wish.

Loved this steam mop but can't get the refills

So disappointing to not be able to get the refill pads. The scent was really fantastic, and no other pads fit the Bissell steam mop. I, too, bought this product only to have the steam pad refills discontinued shortly after I purchased the steam mop. Not ethical!

Good purchase, however

Worked great on my vinyl floors. However, my quality laminate floors were very streaked and dull. But they were clean. I know this because I immediately followed the steamboost with my usual cleaner, Bona and there was no dirt on the applicator. I'm satisfied it is doing its job.
Pros: no pumping to acquire steam
Cons: didn't work on my wood laminate.

OVERWHELMING CHEMICAL SMELL IN THE STEAM PADS!

I like the Steamboost and the ease of use.
My biggest complaint is that the Steam Pads are scented with CHEMICALS and the smell lingers hours after use. I had to wash my floors with hot water to get rid of the chemical smell. The smell is an assault to ones senses. I contacted the company and was told most consumers feel it makes the product more pleasant to use...SERIOUSLY???? I filed the paperwork for a money-back refund.
Pros: ease of use
Cons: chemical smelling steam pads

Swiffer SteamBoost Powered by Bissell

I used the SteamBoost on my tile floors and loved the outcome I got. I used it after I mopped the floors with a conventional mop and was amazed at what was left over that the SteamBoost picked up. The floors had a like new shine and felt clean when walking on them. It took about as much time to use as a conventional mop or Swiffer. I would definetely recommend this product!
