Falls short on large jobs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Swiffer Wet Jet for almost 3 weeks now, and I admit its uses are limited. The Swiffer Wet Jet does a great job on quick messes or for daily cleaning. However, it lacks the ability to do any deep scrubbing
The cleaning solution has a nice scent, and surprisingly, doesn’t leave the floor sticky like other cleaners I have used in the past. The pads are thin and don’t last as long I would hope. If I didn’t use the mop daily I ended up having to use a new pad in each of tiled areas of my house. For a small area like a travel trailer with linoleum floors I would recommend this in a heartbeat, in a large house with large deep grout lines it is impractical and expensive. The best use I have found for this is to stash it by the back door and use it to clean up the wet paw prints on rainy days.

Easy cleaning for my wood floors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Swiffer Wet Jet Wood Starter Kit actually made me look forward to cleaning my wood floors. With the amount of debris and spills made by my kids from the dining table onto the floors, the swiffer wet jet wood sweeper made cleaning a breeze. I just swept up the debris and then went over the floors with the swiffer and it easily cleaned up dried wet messes. I just wish I didn't run out of the cleaning pads so fast.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were so happy with the Swiffer Wet Jet. It makes our wood floors sparkle and really gets up the tough spots. We have a dog who is terrible at wiping her paws before she comes inside, so luckily, the swiffer wipes it right up!! The refills are convenient and it really is a great alternative to traditional mopping.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a Swiffer Wet Jet Starter Kit which included 1 power mop, 5 mopping pads, 1 bottle of floor cleaner and 4 AA batteries. The unit itself is very lightweight, but sturdy and well put together. It was advertised as being able to work and be gentle on virtually all types of finished floors and I was able to put it to the test quite often during this holiday season since the majority of the main floor living space has primarily hardwood flooring with partial linoleum in the entrance hallway and ceramic tile flooring in the bathrooms.
The unit itself requires some very minor assembly before using and the directions are very simple to follow. Prior to using this Swiffer unit, I had been using a broom, mop or vacuum to clean these same areas. While it does a very good job cleaning, I found it primarily works best for light touch up duty work and not the heavy duty type. The cleaning solution is easily dispensed onto the floor with a button you simply push down on and emits a very pleasant scent. So not only will the area be clean afterwards, but will also smell nice.
I was somewhat concerned at first because my hardwood flooring is rather light in color and I was afraid the pads might leave scratch marks. Surprisingly, they are very delicate on the floor surface while still being able to do some deep cleaning such as scuff marks from shoes. Spills were very easy to clean as well as sticky spots and lightly stained areas. I was very impressed with its overall performance because it was like being able to sweep and mop at the same time thus saving on time.
For rooms that sees more foot traffic or in homes where a pet may shed often, I would suggest sweeping that room first before using the Swiffer. That will help prolong the life of each pad and allow you to clean the entire home using only one refill. Then you simply dispose of the old pad when you are done.
The greatest part of the Swiffer is that you won't have to constantly bend over or wring a mop head to get the job done and it's so simple to use. While I was very impressed with this unit, I didn't give it the highest rating possible because of two reasons:
1. The refill pads are not universal which means you can only replace using the Swiffer brand. A pad which can be washed and thus be re-usable would also have been an ideal alternative.
2. It runs on 4 AA disposable batteries and I prefer to be able to use the rechargeable ones because it's better for the environment and less costly in the long run.

Other than that, I was very pleased with the unit. It is so light in weight, I never would have thought it would have been able to perform as well as it did. I can't wait to try out some of the other varieties of scented cleaning solutions.

Wood Floors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very hesitant to use this product on my wood floors. But after reading the labels and testing a small area, it turned out that it was the easiest way to clean the floors. Although there were some benefits and draw backs from the unit.
Pros: Easy to use, easy to maneuver and easy to transport.
Cons: Location of the liquid makes it difficult to get far under hard to reach places. The amount of Liquid dispersed is probably a little more than necessary. Once the pads are used for a little, and get wet they are difficult to keep on the bottom of the Velcro.
Although, my con list looks longer than the pros, the cons are made up mostly of things that you can get used to after a use or two. Very good product.

Tile Floors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not the best product for any flooring that has an recession in it. My kitchen is tiled, and it was very difficult to see any cleaning taking place on the grout, or even around the edges of the tile. I would think a traditional mop (or potentially steam cleaner) would have better luck on those types of floors.

Swiffer Wet Jet Starter Kit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I were so excited to receive the Swiffer Wet Jet Starter Kit! After a few minutes attempting to put it together (it was a little less intuitive than I would have liked), we read the directions and were able to start using it. The Swiffer worked wonderfully and we were able to quickly clean our front entryway and kitchen. We loved the ease of use once it was all put together. I am not sure why this Swiffer requires batteries though - - I used a Swiffer wet jet in the past and it was able to function without batteries -- I'm just not a fan of the long term cost of replacement. Overall, we are happy and excited to keep using the Swiffer!

Took care of my holiday cleaning needs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Swiffer Wet Jet was the perfect tool for holiday cleaning. Last minute cookie flour mess? Run the Swiffer and the floor is clean and dry before the first guests get there. Spilt wine? No prob...Swiffer it up and fix to go. Reindeer Food recipe leave glitter all over the floor? Swiffer got....well...almost all of it up. It's glitter OK? All in all my family and holiday guests were impressed with the ease and efficiency of my new Swiffer to take care of holiday messes easily. I will never use anything but Swiffer.
