Swiffer is my go to kitchen sweeper - improvement needed though

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using a Swiffer mop for the last 10 years - I still have the same one. The Swiffer mop has disposable pads that you replace after use. They stick on to the bottom of the mop very effortlessly. I replace mine about every 3 days (for cost concerns and environmental ones). My Swiffer never gets put away in the closet as I use it all the time.
I was so excited to have the opportunity to try a new Swiffer! I was surprised, however, that the hand grip in the middle of the rod that was on the older model, is not on the new one. I find, as a result, that my hand gets a cramp when using the new Swiffer. That was not a smart model redesign, in my opinion.
One thing that always bothered me about my Swiffer (the old one) was that the bottle of floor cleaner is placed so low to the ground. This makes it impossible to clean under my couches and get all the dust bunnies. I have to pull my couch away from the wall to clean under it. It doesn't make any sense that they newer Swiffer model is exactly the same as the older with the bottle of cleaner attached almost to the base of the mop. Why not design it so that the bottle can either be slid up and down to be out of the way when necessary?
Another issue I had was the the bottle refill leaked through the base of the mop where the pad is! I sometimes store my Swiffer without a pad and just have it sitting in a corner of the room. I was not happy to find my Swiffer sitting in a wet puddle of solution on my hardwood floor! Not sure what that deal is.
I have to admit that I do not buy the liquid cleaner refill bottles. I like to use my own more natural cleaners, particularly simply vinegar and water. I with the company offered my natural options or allowed the bottles to be refilled with the consumers own solutions. As a work-around, I just use my own spray bottle and spray the area I am cleaning and don't even use the bottle sprayer on the Swiffer itself.
So all in all, I do use my Swiffer regularly! It is my go-to floor 'mop'. But I would have thought that in 10 years, the company would have been more smart about its 'remodel' of the Swiffer. The changes they made (ergonomics) are not smart. I still use my old Swiffer as I like the hand grip in the middle of the stick.

AMAZING SWIFFER HELPER

Its easy to use, you don't have to push hard and one bottle lasts a long time. I have used this before and after every holiday gathering and it has made my chores a breeze! I am a totally converted fan from standard mopping.

My Floors Have Never Looked Cleaner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My home has both hardwood and linoleum and usually what works on one will not work on the other so cleaning can be a bit of a hassle. No more! The new Swiffer Wet Jet formula cleans both without damaging either. There are no streaks and the formula doesn't leave any sort of residue, just nice, clean floors! Color me impressed! This has made my weekly cleaning routine go by much more quickly! The WetJet was super easy to assemble and start using and I can find replacement pads and cleaning solution at most major retailers around me so it's easy to maintain to keep using. I'll definitely keep this as my weekly mopping tool!

Great, quick clean-up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this is one the best products I have used lately for home clean-ups! It's fast, easy and makes my floors shine. I have told all my friends about this product. I am a busy mom that works full time outside the home. I don't have time to get a bucket full of water and mop daily, but I do have time daily to use the Swifter mop system. The best is they have a solution just for hard wood floors, so no worries about your wood floors. After every meal, I have to sweep and mop and this system cut my time down big time. I actually can allow my 9 year old to help out as it is very easy to use. It also seems to dry quickly...which is huge when you have little ones and a dog running around constantly.

Makes cleaning easy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Owning a house with hardwood floors, and having (2) dogs, Swiffer is not a new name to my wife and I. We have use swifter dusters to clean the floors for years, but were always on our hands and knees cleaning dirty and muddy foot prints our fur babies would track in. So when given the opportunity to demo/sample the Swiffer Wet Jet, I jumped on it.
The Swiffer Wet Jet Starter Kit comes literally with everything you need to get started. The unit comes in (3) pieces, but could not be any easier to assemble. It comes with a bottle of multi purpose cleaning solution, (5) moping pads, and even the (4) AA batteries needed for the mop...you don't even get batteries with toys, so that was a real surprise!
Once assembled, the mopping pad attaches to the bottom with a heavy duty Velcro, a bit different than the normal Swiffer sweepers. I was surprised to see this, assuming I would be able to use standard dusting pads on this handle, but then realized if the pads wrapped over the top it would block the spray of the cleaning formula.
There is a switch on the handle that when pushed dispenses the cleaning solution, hence the need for the AA batteries. As I mention above, the spray comes out at the top of the mopping pad head, from a spray nozzle at both front corners. You can spray as much or as little as needed, depending on the size of the mess and just how stubborn it is.
We have used this on many surfaces in the house, from the hardwood floors, to the tile floors in our foyer and bathroom, to even the linoleum floor in the laundry room, and can say it's a great product. After using this for only a few weeks, I can say from experience that this is an absolute back and time saver, and something I would recommend to any home owner, especially with pets or kids.

Swiffer Wet Jet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Swiffer Wet Jet. It is a huge improvement on the old Swiffer. I have hard surfaces throughout my house and it is absolutely wonderful for a quick spruce up before I have company enter my home. I also love to give the bathrooms a once over in the morning after everyone leaves for work and school. The pads for the Swiffer wet jet really stick to the base of the Swiffer Wet Jet. I rarely used my old Swiffer because the pads constantly came off. The improvements made to the Swiffer Wet Jet have made the product a useful tool in my my home.

Old home; several different style of wood - works on all!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we moved into your almost century old home, I noticed that due to numerous occupants and additions, there was a bit of a mish-mash when it comes to the types of wood throughout the home. As such, I'm particularly concerned about using the correct product for the correct type of wood. When I received the Swiffer Wet Jet Wood starter kit, I was hesitant to try it on my floors. I shouldn't have. I carefully tested each flooring before using, and when I discovered the Swiffer Wet Jet Wood was good on each, I used it everywhere. I can't tell you how much time it saved/saves me because now I can use one product throughout. I highly recommend.

Christmas Clean Up Made Easy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having suffered a death in the family over the holidays, it is honest to say that my house has gotten down right dirty as I worked through the depression of losing a well-loved family member. I host Christmas brunch at my home and knew that, no matter how bad I was feeling, it was time to get my house cleaned and in order. After hours of putting stuff away, I didn't have the energy left to get down and scrub the kitchen and laundry room floors. So, my husband helped assemble my Wet Jet and we gave it a try! It did a great job and I was able to complete not only the kitchen and laundry room, but the bathroom floors as well. It not only did a great job, but definitely helped lift my spirits to have a clean house again! The only downfall at all was that, in the laundry room, it gets extra dusty and must not have been vacuumed well enough and at first it was pushing the dirt around. That problem was easily rectified. I will definitely be using this product from now on! It has made my life easier for being able to clean quickly and easily.
