Swiffer Wet Jet Rules

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Swiffer Wet Jet. It is the best mop I've used in a long time. I can't wait to get more refills so I can keep using it. It makes everyday moping so easy. It lifts spills and spots immediately.
I really did hate moping and would try to get my kids to do it, but now I don't mind it at all. Try it, you won't be let down.

Good way to clean miles of wooden floors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Last year we bought a new house with around 1500 sf of heart of pine floors along with 4 tiled bathrooms, extra large tiled mudroom/laundry and 500 sf (+/-) of luxury vinyl flooring. Having never dealt with that much non-carpeted space (we only have 1 guest room with carpeting) I have been trying various types of products to see what works best on these surfaces. I had a steam mop & vacuum but decided to try the Swiffer Wet Jet to see if it would speed up my floor cleaning routine. Since I have such a large area to cover in the main living area (combined kitchen, den, living room, dining room) I usually divide it into 4 cleaning areas and have to use 2-4 pads depending on how dirty the floor is.
Pros:
* The Swiffer Wet Jet is very light weight
* No plugs/electricity needed (battery operated for sprayer)
* Maneuvers nicely, head swivels with ease, making corners easy to get into
* Original pads work well on floor, picking up a lot of dirt and lint
Cons:
* Extra power pads "catch" on cracks in wood floor
* Spray leaves streaks on floor in places. I have noticed this with other forms of cleaner. The floor is not a glossy finish but when the sun comes in the front window you can definitely see every streak in the front rooms.
* Not able to refill solvent container. I try to lessen the amount of garbage I create as well as reuse items whenever possible. While I realize Swiffer probably wants to make sure you purchase more of their product and not use other brands I would be more likely to rate this product higher if they had this option.
* Pad is extremely thin so the dirt will build up on the front of the pad quickly requiring me to remove and turn 180 degrees for clean area in the back
So as a wrap up I'm pretty happy with the Swiffer Wet Jet when you compare the price to some of the more expensive options

Perfect timing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Swiffer Wet Jet Starter kit it could not have come at a better time! We got the keys to our first home and the first order of business was moving, then cleaning. As you all know, that is a daunting task! Swiffer made it really easy to clean up small spills, footprints and paw prints from our four legged family members. First things first, it is very easy to put together, matter of fact, our 8 year old put ours together and started cleaning up the kitchen! It's not only easy, but very fun to use. There is no trick, just press the lever, eject the cleaning solution and wipe away the floors! It picked up dog hair, juice and even an accident that one of our pooches had because they were unfamiliar with the new home. The only drawback was that they pads that you use for cleaning can get soaked really quickly, so keep plenty of refills on hand.

Saves time and effort!!!

We had contractors redo our entire bathroom and well, they had no regard for the rest of our home. Dirt and tile dust stomped into every inch of our hardwood floors! This would have been a nightmare with typical mop and bucket, however, the ability to just toss the pads when they get too dirty made this task relatively painless! Trapping dirt while leaving my floors shiny (and my home smelling nice and fresh). Highly recommended for anyone who hates wringing out mops or having to frequently change water to avoid mopping dirt back onto your clean floors!

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Swifter wet jet easy to use. It helped me keep the floors spotless during the busiest time of year. It was great on wood, ceramic and marble tile and the solution broke down tough stains and the magic eraser left the floors spotless. Great investment.

My Favorite!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't say enough about this mop. I have used it every single day since I received it. I am actually out of the fluid right now and can't wait to get to the market to buy some more! I have a tile floor in my kitchen. The swiffer wet jet cleans incredibly well and smells so good! It's great in the bathrooms too. It not only cleans the floor but it picks up dirt too and it's so easy to use. The pads just stick on with no effort and absorb so much! I would be so upset if I didn't have this mop anymore! Oh yes, I use it on my hardwood floor too!!!

Stick to small areas

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think we will start with the positives. I really like the smell of the product. I like the ease of use and changing of pads. My 7 year old daughter was able to open the package and assemble the Swiffer wet jet all by herself. She loved using it and it made cleaning the floors fun for her. I am on the tall side and I liked that I didn't feel hunched over when using it. Now for the not so positive. I think the Swiffer wet jet is a great idea for smaller areas. I have tile throughout most of my house and I was only able to clean it twice with one bottle. This does not seem like a cost effective way to keep my floors clean. I will definitely continue to use it on smaller areas of the house. I would still recommend this product. It was easy to use and very convenient.

Awesome for Everyday Clean-Up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mop has made it possible to keep my floors clean much more often than they were before. We use this almost every other day, mainly on the hardwood floors in our kitchen because they get dirty so easily. I hate traditional mopping and used to wait as long as possible before I would do it--this makes it so easy to quickly and effectively clean up.
Now that it's winter, the dog will get in with muddy paws, and the Swiffer has been great for that.
This works for us because we also recently purchased a cordless vacuum--I think because we can now so conveniently vacuum the floors, it makes it even easier to pull out the mop as well.
The refills are expensive, but I've been told that you can use generic cleaning fluid instead of the one sold to go with the mop, so I'll be looking into that.
Highly recommend this product if your dirty floors are driving you crazy!
