Swift Clean Up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first experience with the Swiffer Wet Jet (I've used their dusters for years). What I like about it: assembly and set up was a snap, the cleaning solution smells wonderful, and it does a decent job of scrubbing the tough spots. My overall favorite feature is the all in one portability...no more toting buckets or spray bottles. What I didn't like about it: I've found that with two pets in the house, I must sweep first as the cleaning pad didn't catch all of the hair and just pushed a lot of it around. Overall I consider it winner though!

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After trying the Swiffer Wet Jet three different times, I have to report I am disappointed in this product. Although the mop head was dirty, indicating it was picking up the dirt off the floor, I do not see where this did any better job than the standard mop with white vinegar in hot water. Additionally, the mop head left streaks on the white floor, making it look as if the floor wasn't rinsed well. There was no nice shine or bright look when the floor was completely dry. While I was excited to try this product, I would certainly not advocate anyone purchase it. Simply not worth the cost involved.

Great on hardwood, not so great on other flooring

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had some other Swiffer WetJets in the past that have had mixed results. I felt the floor cleaner worked fairly well on tile but not very well on wood or laminate. My downstairs flooring is 1/2 hardwood and the other areas are tile or carpet. Both my stairs to the 2nd floor and occupied 3rd floor are painted hardwood. I also have two cats. They tend to lead to most of the issues with dirt/hair/yuck on the floors. Having to clean more often to keep the pet issues at bay, I like to seek things that are simple and no-fuss.
The Swiffer WetJet Wood kit is pretty no-fuss. Snap the handle together out of the box, put in the batteries (provided with the kit!), click in the cleaner cartridge, slap on a cleaning pad on the bottom. Very easy to set up. Use is also very easy. The WetJet has 2 spray jets (much improved over the old single spray jet of previous models) and actually projects a lot of cleaner - see below. I can finish cleaning my hardwood floors in about 15 minutes. Most of that time is spent moving chairs or stuff out of the way.
After cleaning the spray dries very quickly and leaves a pretty nice streak-free appearance. The downside and loss of one star? It's really a one-floor cleaner. I tried this on the tile and it looked all smudgy. I suppose you could just replace the cartridge with a normal one and use that on tile (?) Anyway, this is a very simple cleaning method for wooden floors that will likely prolong their lifespan.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the older version, but was pleasantly surprised at how much lighter this version feels and the ergonomic handle feels nice in your hand as you swifter your floors.

Great Shine and Lovely Scent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Swiffer again to clean my kitchen floor after vacuuming up any crumbs or other particles. It is so easy to install a new cleaning pad on the Swiffer- just stick it on! This is one of my favorite parts of using the Swiffer as it removes the need for a traditional bucket and mop. While cleaning the floors, I found that it is necessary to apply pretty strong pressure to the mopping motion and dispense a fair amount of the cleaning solution in order to remove the most dirt. This allowed me to remove most spots from a dried spill on the floor. Additionally, the cleaning solution leaves the floors with a great smelling fresh and clean scent and left my floors with a nice shine. It is essential to allow the solution to dry before walking on the floors, otherwise I have found that it can leave a sticky residue. Once dry, the shine was still noticeable and the clean scent was still apparent. The only reason that I did not give the Swiffer the full 5 stars is that I have still found that it leaves some traces of dirt. I used a spray cleaning product and paper towel to test a section of the floor for cleanliness and it came up pretty dirty. However, when I am in a hurry and don't have time to break out the mop and pail, the Swiffer is my go-to tool.

Floor mopping becomes childsplay
on December 13, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So easy a child could do it? You betcha! And it's fun, too!
Straight out of the box, assembly was easy with just a couple of slide-and-click connections. The sample cleaning solution just pops in its place and once you attach a cleaning pad to its velcro-like connectors, you are ready to go.
The cleaning solution did an OK job and left the floors shiny (temporarily) and scented. It was nice to have a scent as proof of cleaning but maybe a different scent than the sample that came with my mop would be more appreciated in this household.
There are two types of cleaning pads: One for everyday use and one for scrubbing. I used the everyday pad to test out the mop so maybe the scrubbers would have made it easier to get up the dried on spots. My least favorite part of the Swiffer brand, quite honestly, is its disposability. I would LOVE to be able to use a reusable cleaning pad that I could just toss in the wash when dirty.
I have used Swiffers in the past and even have an older version of the WetJet. The new version is purple (my favorite color) and seems to have an improved sprayer. It is also weighs slightly less than my older (green) version. Not huge improvements but it keeps the product fresh.
Without even asking him to help out, my 6-year-old (who had begun hovering as soon as I started opening the box) took on the task of cleaning up our hardwoods. He easily mastered the spray and maneuvering and I had a mostly clean kitchen floor in no time. Just check out the dirt on that cleaning pad!
Mostly clean, you ask? Yup. Mostly. While Swiffers are a great convenience item and super quick for cleaning up small spills or to give a daily once-over, I would never recommend them as your only floor cleaning device or for deep cleaning. I had to press down pretty hard to scrub some dried on spots that we tested and would often accidentally press the sprayer button while attempting to scrub.
Overall, a solid 3 in my book.

Easy Assembly and good scent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After opening the box the assembly was pretty easy. I proceeded to try this on my kitchen tile floor. The smell is nice but you do have to be sure that you sweep really well beforehand as it doesn't pick up any small particles. If there are any stuck on areas, that seems to either take a lot of pressure/scrubbing or just doing it by hand, so I am not sure I like this portion. All in all it was pretty easy to use. No mop and bucket needed and clean up is a breeze. I would love the option of being able to use my own cleaner, as I gear more toward more natural cleaning.

Dirt be gone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is definitely for folks who hate to clean/mop their floors. So, I guess that would be me. I hate it. I actually despise it. I have 1 dog and 2 cats. Sweeping and mopping need to be done daily. Prior to receiving the Swiffer Wet Jet, it maybe got done weekly. With the wet jet, I don't have any issues with doing it daily. It's a breeze...no mop, bucket, wringing, etc. Does't get all the hair but definitely worth the small investment. Would highly recommend.
