More counter space.

We have a small kitchen and mounting the microwave above the range gives us more counter space.

Our other Whirlpool microwave, which we had for 8 years, started making a loud noise when running, so rather than wait until it totally broke we went out and bought another Whirlpool microwave. We had such good luck with the first one that I didn't even bother to look for another brand. I would recommend Whirlpool for anyone that is looking to purchase a microwave.

Good buy for the money

I purchased this to go with a new kitchen cabinet installation. It was straightforward to install, but may be difficult for the non-DIYer.The microwave works well. The range exhaust is on the weak side, but is OK. The over-the-range light is not bright enough and does not illuminate the front burners of the range.Over-all, an improvement in space savings over a counter microwave, but lacking in range hood features. I would recommend spending more money if range hood features are more important.

microwave nice but was dented when I got it.

Bought this microwave after my last one quit working. Arrived on time but had a dent in the bottom back corner. Since I already had someone to install it at no charge kept it with the dent. Works well. Did not receive an instruction book with it either so not able to check for troubleshoot problems.
