The quiet standard

Sound level is minimal. Outstanding! Bottom freezer is why we bought it. Sensible and efficient. Plastic drawers and tracks feel flimsy though. I'd like more bulk in that way.

Great refrigerator!

I bought the 19 cu. ft. Whirlpool Gold Bottom Mount Refrigerator in white to replace an outdated and inefficient model for a small townhouse kitchen. The top refrigerated section of the fridge is very spacious and I was surprised at the very large number of things you can store on the door, with the more than abundant door storage shelves. The interior shelves of the refrigerated section are sturdy and easy to clean, as is the exterior of the fridge. The freezer section seemed small at first (large basket on bottom and smaller basket on top), but appearances are deceiving, as it stores what I need. The only thing I would change is to somehow reorganize the bottom basket to remove the middle divider and better allow for bulky or awkwardly shaped items. The fridge is quiet and the seal is SO secure that sometimes after closing the freezer, I have to wait a few seconds before being able to open the top fridge without extreme force! One more thing I like: the grill in front at the bottom. It does not allow items to get stuck underneath the refrigerator, so you don't have to fish out pet hair, kids toys and more from under the fridge! I would definitely recommend this product.

Energy efficiency, a few drawbacks

Refrigerators are energy hogs, so I'm thrilled that I found this model with the lowest consumption around. The annual savings on utilities alone is a great benefit. The fridge is a little loud when it's making ice throughout the day, and the freezer doesn't have the capacity I would like to have. Overall, though, this refrigerator does its job well, and I'm glad I chose it.

3 months in fridge works great. The ice maker can be a little loud but not annoying but you here it when it is working. I really like the adjustable shelves.

We were replacing a built-in and had space constraints. Had to settle for a smaller size, but it has proven to be big enough because of the way the interior can be configured. Easy to keep the stainless clean too.

We have owned this refrigerator for about six months. We bought it because we were limited by the size of the opening in our kitchen. This model had all the features we wanted (icemaker, rigid shelves on the door, adjustable shelves in the main compartment, good visibility, energy efficiency) in a small package. It runs quietly, makes ice quickly, and looks good. We are happy with our purchase.

Overall a really good product

The refrigerator space is good, but the freezer space isn't great as the bottom tray is slanted which makes "flat" storage a little more complicated and you can't have tall items because of the top tray

We love our new refrigerator, especially the bottom freezer drawer because it is so convenient to find things in it and I don't have to stand on my head to find things in the back of the refrigerator section like I did with our old freezer-on-top model.
