great camera!!

This camera has taken great pictures for me so far! I've had it out on the beach, in the snow, in low and high light conditions and every shot has come out good. Sometimes when you zoom to close to something it will be blurry.
Having the Av, P, and Tv modes makes it a lot like a DSLR..but in a small size! It's awesome to be able to control a lot of the artistic effects!
I do wish there was a micro mode on the dial. The only way to get to it is thru the special functions.
The flash has never gotten in my way and works well!
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Missing features/settings

No complaints. Best camera purchase I have ever made (hands down)!
I love being able to control the flash manually rather than struggling to find the right button in a quick scene moment. My battery life also seems fine.

Great Camera

Great Camera --- Took pictures of swiming sharks thru the glass at an aquarium and they were extremely good with no flash. Only problem with the camera is your finger sitting on the pop-up flash when you turn it on. A warning sign needs to say "Hey idiot, take your finger off my flash button."

i think this cam is one of my best purchases and ive owned about 70 cams in my life, and i cant find one fault with this cam. every time i pick it up i am utterly thrilled with its use. ll

BEST COMPACT CAMERA

Totally impressed with its features. Especially its AUTO mode is very nice , anybody can make good photos. At same time professionals can make perfect shot with its manual features. Gold colour which I owned is very stylish too. The zoom button could be much better in design. Flash is really trendy but practically it should be in another position. Overall very impressive camera
Pros: 14 x zoom in such compact camera, 14.1 megapixels, intelligent auto mode
Cons: small zoom switch

I love Canon

I have been a fan of canon for the past 6 years. I never get tired of the brand. I am swapping out an old canon for this unit because it has all of the same features that mine did, and more! I love the fish eye and minature function, and I have always loved the color accent and color swap. I am also excited about the zoom on this one!

Great for general use

Great camera for general use. Slim profile is just right for the pocket. The 14x optical zoom sold me. I've used it weekly for four months with great pics.
It is slow on shutter responce.
Bad location for flash; where finger is.

Video caught me totally off guard

I had Canon cameras in the past, so the picture quality, ease of use and performance were to be expected. What astounded me was the video footage I captured at Whistler - both close ups and distant landscapes were truly impressive.
Also the battery life was outstanding - after a four day trip the battery was still above 90%. Great job, Canon!!!!
