I don't like this camera the zoom button is very hard to use and causes the flash and on off buttons to sometimes be depressed the numbering system does not work no matter what setting you put the camera in it stops at 40 and starts numbering all over again.

It could use a viewfinder for zooming. Very unstable at extreme zoom as most pictures miss when you press the shutter button and move the camera even minutely. The flash is a weakpoint as it rises where the finger naturally rests meaning it does not rise or forces one to change hand positions. The strap is of poor quality. It is fraying within two months of purchase.
Pros: Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Missing features/settings, Flimsy Construction

I got this to replace my Canon SD630. Its supposed to be in the advanced class but Im not sure it belongs there. Its used for random pictures and generally for concerts. The small compact size is what I was looking for, and of course the perfect high quality shots. I went to a show about a week ago and was unhappy with the shots from my SD630 after owning the T1i for 6 months. So for the next show I wanted to be sure I could get better quality. I have to say I was really disappointed. I used my SD630 at the show too and when looking at pictures from both cameras, I dont see too much of a difference. Im not familiar with terms but describing the time it takes to snap the photo without any movement of the subject was much longer than my other camera. The image quality was better but only if the subject didnt have much movement. I found with my SD that kids and pets mode worked the best. The LCD wasnt as bright and as crystal clear as my SD either and the pop up flash is annoying. I am now debating on whether I am going to keep this camera, if it is worth to replace my SD.
Pros: good battery life, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use
Cons: Dim LCD, Poor image quality, Poor Low-Light Performance

I own two other older cameras that knocks this one out of the box.I have owned Cannon camera for over twenty years However, this camera can not stand up to the performance of my other camera. The price would have been excellent if the product had more pros and or less cons. In addition the location of the flash was ridiculous as it popped up and seemed to be in the way. I returned the camera as I felt that at some point the flash was going to be a real problem. In addition the photo were of poor quality. Please don't base all cannon cameras on this particular camera as there are some very good cannons on the market Thanks and good luck
Cons: Missing features/settings, Poor image quality, Poor Low-Light Performance, Difficult to use, Short battery life, Complicated controls/menu, Flimsy Construction

I had read really good reviews and purchased this product. Battery Life is a problem. I have only taken 5 pictures and recharged my battery 3 times. Everytime I turn it on to use the camera the battery is low and needs charged. Very disappointed.
Cons: Short battery life

I like this carmara, light and many wonderful features. couple of issue the zoom and the shutter botton are too small, if you need to used them Alaska with gloves it quite a challenge. I recommeded to Canon to improve this issues in the next camera
Pros: add a pro
Cons: add a con

DO NOT USE THIS CAMERA WITH CANON'S CASE

Pre-ordered the SX210 IS last month and got it yesterday. Had also gotten a Canon PSC-3100 case for it. This morning before we left for a family event I put the camera in the case for the first time and realized it's too big for the camera. Took it anyway because I didn't have another case. Got to the event and five steps out of the car, the case opened and the camera flew out on the pavement damaging the corner and cracking the screen. What I've concluded is that the motion of the camera jostling around inside the case caused enough movement to fling the flap open. Have been a long time Canon customer and am HUGELY disappointed. The camera is a great product from what I saw last night, but am ENORMOUSLY DISAPPOINTED that it's already been dropped and broken due to using the maker's suggested case.
Cons: Flimsy Construction, unsafe carrying case
