wishing i hadn't bought it

This oven has been nothing but problems from day one. The oven takes forever to heat at times. Im talking 30-40 min. There is a design flaw with the oven door as it will not stay closed all the way it kicks itself open just enough for the oven light to stay on all the time and burn out. It got to the point that i just gave up on replacing the light as it wasn't three weeks later that it would burn out again.Once this thing finally dies I will not be purchasing a maytag or whirlpool stove/oven again.

Nice stove...

Love the speed heat feature on the stovetop - instantly gets hot. Only gripe is that the oven takes a long time to preheat...If I know I will have something to cook in the oven, I will turn the preheat on before I start any kind of prep - otherwise you'll be waiting....Nice feature is the "keep warm" function on the stove - allows me to wrap a plate and keep it warm in the oven if someone is running late for dinner - comes in handy if you live anywhere with traffic! Love the big window on the stove as well - let's you see what you are cooking...

There are two things I don't like about this range

First the timer isn't loud enough, I want a loud buzzer that keeps going till I turn it offSecond the bottom drawer is to small, I like to put my pans down there isn't roomother than that I love the range

Big mistake

I bought a few Maytag appliances 3 years ago. A couple of month ago dishwasher model MDB7749aws broke, and we had to replace a complete panel. Now our range model MER8772ws broke too, and needs a new computer. In both cases the repair cost is almost as much as new appliances. Very disappointed, Maytag is used to be a good brand, no more...

Oven will not work. Both the control panel and temp sensor are fried. The cost of repair far exceeds the purchase price. Junk.
