An Incredible DVD Player!

I have actually had this DVD player for a while now and I absolutely love it! I try to buy Phillips products whenever possible, simply because I have never had any problems with any of their products. Ditto with this unit.
The image quality is flawless and the features are plentiful.
It is very compact and light-weight and is handy as a movable player. The fact that one can play dvds with several movie files that were made on my computer is also very handy.
My Wife works at a nursing home int the Alzheimer's unit and, one of their favorite activities is watching old movies. With this unit being so portable, she is able to take it to work and bring it home every night, as the DVD player for the "unit" is very old and is limited in it's ability to play my home-made discs.
This is the absolute best DVD player in this price range, in my opinion.

We really like the feature that allows you to resume a movie where you left off. The remote is great but also nice to be able to operate the machine if you can't find the remote!

Low end price for average product

The product was much cheaper than many of the competing products; it failed after 1 year. The DVD drawer no longer opened when you pushed either the remote or the on-unit eject control.
Pros: nice looking, low price
Cons: broke before a year was up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
