Great, but.....

I bought this to make spaghetti sauce replacing my hand crank food strainer. As far as the mechanics of it, it works like a top. No more cranking for me. But the holding tray is an absolute joke!! Being a KitchenAid, I expected way more!!! I had to run to the hardware store for parts to adapt my old holding bowl to this unit. I did succeed and it made my life way easier. I am not sure who designs your products, but I am guessing it is someone who's never even so much as stepped foot in a kitchen other than to open the fridge!! I attached pictures from today to show how I solved the issue and one to show the actual size. I hope you plan on making an attachment to solve this issue.

Doesn't work well.

I bought this for when i make my applesauce. Love the fruit and vegetable strainer for this but needed a larger tray to feef into it. This tray may work for dry foods but is terrible for moist items. It does not seal around the existing tray. There ate gaps in the bottom and the juices come out all over the place.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
