Excellent replacement monitor

My 15" CRT died suddenly and this monitor has become an excellent replacement.
The contrast ratio was impressive. Out of the box, a blank browser window was so bright it actually hurt my eyes a little while black parts of the screen were purely black. Brightness was easily adjusted though and my current image is beautiful and brilliant.
The power control is touch sensitive and not an actual button. It is very innovative but slightly awkward to trigger (have to touch behind the "lump" with your finger or pinch it) and the only reason I give the "Difficult to use" con. It really isn't too difficult though and not much of an issue since you only use it to turn the device on and off.
Overall a very impressive monitor.

Cons: Difficult to use

Great 20" Monitor

I have used at least 40 different monitors regularly in my life and this is by far the clearest and easiest to set up and use. I find it to be an extremely good value compared to others I evaluated before this purchase.

Right Out of the Box

This monitor was easy to hook up and use right out of the box. Great picture even hooked up by VGA connections. (My computer will not accept DVI) I'm sure it would be that much better with a digital connection. The on/off feature is great no button to push, just a touch pad.

This monitor replaced a 17 inch lcd and totally blows it out of the water in all areas. It does take a little getting used to because of the widescreen, but the color and resolution are so much better.

I actually purchased a larger monitor, got it home and was not impressed enough to keep it. I went back and spent more time looking at the LG products and brought this one home and loved it!
Setup was next to no effort, and expands my workspace for my laptop - probably more than I need. :) (NetFlix is awesome in this configuration, with this screen, btw.)
Product is good looking, well-made, easy to use.

I am impressed with this monitor. Setup was a breeze and it has been working perfectly since day one. Colors are bright and clear and the wider screen is nice to view many pages that normally I had to scroll left and right.
