I thought it was a great grill, only hangup is the starter gave out couple of months after purchase, not a huge problem as I use a lighter. Other than that I have had no problems and the grill works great. Meats come out perfect just the way I like them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Doesn't get hot enough hard to sear the meat before cooking.

We're sorry to hear of the low temperatures with this grill. Is the meat still frozen when placed on the grill? Low temperatures can sometimes be caused by the safety device inside of the regulator being tripped. This is normally a result of the grill being turned on or off incorrectly. This is going into our second summer with this grill. We use it often, especially on those hot, humid days. One can cook the whole meal outside with the gill and the side burner. I used to put some foods on the grill and cook other dishes inside, ran in and out trying to coordinate. No more. So glad I got a grill with the side burner.

Great grill for the cost

Bought this grill 2-1/2 years ago and enjoy it on average of once a week; keep it covered and stored in garage and do torough cleaning monthly. However, the heat tent vaporizer bars and the burner carry over tubes have already rusted out. Considering the affordable price, that's minor and I guess to be expected. I wish the unit would come with four caster wheels instead of two wheels because every time the unit is moved, it puts a strain on the weak right side shelf, using the side shelf to lift the unit and roll it on two wheels . . .and wish CharBroil offered stainless steel or cast iron grates. Otherwise, I'm enjoying this grill until its time to buy another CharBroil.
