I've had the system installed for about 3 weeks. It's very effective for keeping intrusive neighbors away from my property during the day. I would suggest that you make sure to mount cameras within 10 feet of a high risk area where night vision is needed as the night vision becomes distorted in low light just beyond that range. However I tried another system prior to the Night Owl that was wireless and needed to switch right away to this very reliable system. I live on 1/3rd acre in the mountains of New Mexico so I purchased an infrared camera for the low light area that regular night vision does not fulfill appropriately. There is no light pollution here so it gets very dark on the high Plains of New Mexico. I just rated 4 stars due to low range for night vision. Overall, I am happy to have this 8 channel, 4 camera Night Owl DVR System and recommend it for those that don't want to break the bank.

If the camera is installed in a location that has absolutely no light, then your Night Vision distance will be more limited. Again, thank you for the review!
