I have really enjoyed our Sharp TV. The clearity of the picture is great. The OPC really works and keeps the picture constant when light in the room changes. The setup was quick and easy. Price was unbeatable.
Pros: picture quality is top notch.
Cons: low volume requiring sound to turned way up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Newer Aquos models address the complaints of poor "blacker-than-black" performance in earlier Aquos models, and the four color RGBY system is superior in many ways over RGB. Color rendition of yellows is quite good. Fine adjustment may be needed using a calibration DVD to get exact color purity, but these sets have menu-driven adjustments that are easy to use and work very well. Fine motion enhancement is excellent, as is the auto-luminance feature.
Pros: lots of inputs including rcas, excellent color adjustability, superior power management, true "stand-alone" set does everything, "clear qam" tuner on-baord
Cons: color calibration slightly off out of box., distorting on-board speakers

Awesome picture! Easy to setup. Only question I have is what ever happened to the old fashion user manual???
Pros: easy setup, great picture
Cons: sound is good not great, see my only question!

40" Aquos - Good Choice

I finally broke down and was looking for my first LCD. After reading mulitple product reviews, comparing prices, and shopping around for more hours than I care to admit, I decided on the Sharp Aquos 40". I am not disappointed. Great picture, easy to use, awesome customer support, etc. etc. The sound could be deeper, but I suppose that's what a surround system is for. Overall, I would recommend this television and I will most likely get another Sharp when I am in the market for another.
Pros: price, customer support, overall quality
Cons: sound could be deeper

picture perfect

This TV was properly packaged for delivery via UPS. Once here, setup was a breeze. Once on, the LC-40D78UN has a picture that rivals standing in front of (what ever it is) in person. It is that clear! No fade to the picture around the edges. Excellent picture viewing even at a significant angle to the TV. The sound is perfect. Very easy to understand, no 'in a tin can' sound. At volume 0 there is NO sound and at top volume it is loud enough for the deaf to hear three doors down. And surprisingly it is still relatively clear! I like how when the TV is off, there is NO little gizmo light that stays on. Some other brands have a cool (NOT) blue light that stays on when the TV is off and in the bedroom who wants a blue night light illuminating the room? Not I. With this TV, off is OFF and that is good. Love the TV.
Pros: crystal clear picture and great sound., easy setup., stable base/stand., wall mountable.
Cons: there's a con? i couldn't find it.

Not a happy buyer!!

We bought two (2) sharp Tvs 1st was a 32 inch had to have 2 main boards put in it, just over 2 yrs old. Second TV a 40 inch not even 30 days old had to have new board put in it, worked 4 days doing same thing over again say not compatible with signal. As far as im concerned i would never buy another product from Sharp..
Cons: junk
