Quiet operation. You barely notice it compared to the old top loaders. I also see the difference in the amount of water used compared to our old washer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just can't say how pleased we are with this Samsung washer.
It gets clothes thoroughly clean, uses less water, and is so incredibly quiet that you hardly know it's there.
If I needed another washer, I'd buy this model in a heartbeat--it's that good!
Pros: quiet and efficient!

I'm very pleased with this machine. I washed a white fleece jacket that had a coffee stain that was one year old with some pretreatment spray and it came out! Love it!

I bought this washing machine after my other one broke, I was very happy with the price and it seemed to be a large capacity. The washer is very quiet. You are able to pause the washer after you have started it. The only thing I don't like is the signal is very quiet and I usually don't hear it when it is done.

Great Washer, great Value

My wife and I have had this washer for almost 2 1/2 years now. It has been moved three times and has never had a problem or even a glitch. I highly recommend this product to anyone searching for a great washer for a great value. Just remember to keep the bolts that hold the drum in place when you move the washer from house to house. I have been told since the drum is concrete if it shift too much in transit, it will break, then the washer is useless after that, so keep that in mind.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable

Great Buy!

Purchased this washer when my 13 year old washer finally gave out. Performance is excellent, clothes come out very clean and well-spun out. Wish the washer were higher off the ground without having to purchase a base for it, as I have back problems. But people without back problems should have no difficulty even without the base. Instructions are easy to understand and warranty is excellent. Excellent value. I would not hesitate to recommend.

My initial review

We purchased this washer because we wanted an HE washer, it had some of the best reviews for the price, and it didn't have all of the frills that no one needs. It isn't listed by Consumer Reports yet, but we took the dive anyway.
All I can say is we are pleasantly surprised so far. I have ran 6 loads through it all varying sizes and types.
The install:
It is heavier than most top loaders at just over 200 lbs. I could handle my old top load by myself, but my wife and I had to man handle it through the Bilco doors into the basement, unpack it and fuss it into it's final place. Leveling was easy as was the hookup.
Operation:
This unit is very easy to use. Power on, settings, and starting are very straight forward. The settings are basic and will get your clothes washed. If you want cute features that do nothing other than make it a status symbol, this is not your unit. For getting the laundry clean, this is the unit. It does however make all kinds of cute noises from the time you turn it on to the time you turn it off. My kids love it especially the end-of-cycle tune.
Washing:
The unit self-senses the load size and adjusts the time and water usage accordingly. No need to set the load size like some people think they have to do. This unit does it all automatically. I have washed small loads from the swimming pool, over-sized loads, all towels, sheets, and sneakers. Each time the clothes come out clean. I checked garments from my kids (and me) that were really dirty going in and even in the over-sized loads they all came out clean.
It does tend to get small socks and gloves stuck outside of the drum, but there is a rubber gasket that stops it from getting anywhere but in the wash. The washer also manages to get them back in the mix so it's not a big deal.
This thing could spin a rain storm dry. The clothes and sheets were barely damp when I pull them out which means less work for my dryer. Between using less water and less hot water saving me money, but it will save on the dryer usage too.
It is also very quiet. We are thinking of moving the washer and dryer upstairs now since it won't drown out the TV from across the house.
One other note:
My mom complains about her Kenmore because once it starts, you can't add anything to it. This one if you pause it, it unlocks and you can add to it.
All-in-all, this is a great unit that does a great job. Time will tell on the reliability, but in my experience if it works out of the box without manufacturing defects, it will last until the end of its useful life.
