My husband uses it all the time for popcorn and warming up leftovers.

It was a great microwave and was kept clean throughout its life. It finally stopped heating food so it’s likely the mega died. Costly to fix and time consuming to do on your own. Strangely, our previously owned Amana is still going strong at over 20 years. Not sure what we will replace it with yet.

I love the microwave, but like several other reviews, my house was also built in 2011, I'm noticing a theme here, and this thing about caught my kitchen on fire last night. It made a clunk noise when turned on and black smoke began rolling out the top. Enough that we opened doors and windows and ran for the fire extinguisher. We literally just replaced our whirlpool dishwasher that died at Thanksgiving, now the microwave. Scared to buy another whirlpool now. Although this model doesn't seem to have the weak handle issue that the newer model and reviews list.
