Good solid microwave

The microwave is a great product for the price. It doesn't have any special features but performs well if you just use it for basic things.

Need a new one after 5 years

Purchased new in June 2010. Quit heating in Nov. 2015. I've owned other brand microwaves over the years that last much longer. With the exception of the underpowered fan this microwave was satisfactory for warming up leftovers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We built the house we are in about 2 years ago. All the appliances have the whirlpool parent company behind them. Wouldn't have it any other way.

This product is noisy but does what it's supposed to.

The unit took two men to install as it was heavy and awkward.The open louvers above the door invites dust to come into this area - should be sealed off (like other models).There is an annoying "ticking" noise when in use.The glass plate is difficult to replace once it has been washed as the turning ring beneath it does not stay in place.The unit does a good job cooking the food and that is what it was designed for so I would recommend it to others.The price paid was similar to the first "above the stove" microwave which we purchased but the quality of the unit is no where close to the quality of our first unit.
