This product lacks sufficient instruction

This microwave/range hood appears to have many features, but the instructions are not sufficient to explain how to access them. The levels and sublevels of features available through the number pad are numerous and there is no explanation to these features. When you need to find out how to access a feature it is almost impossible. It is not intuitive. There is also no timetable available for recommended times/power levels or what times/levels are preset for the shortcut buttons. It appears to have great features, but what good are they if they can't be accessed? I am disappointed that the necessary instructions are not provided or even available.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been very happy with the performance of this microwave and range hood. However, I have had the plastic support piece that holds the handle fracture on me, I have no idea how this could have happened, but the internet is aware of similar issues, so beware! But, that being said, you can barely tell. Very good microwave, range hood is also good, wish I took the time to externally vent it rather than to blow out the top.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very stylish, easy to use and quiet

We purchased this as a replacement for an older SHARP model. We are pleased that it is very quiet when running, the vent is much more quiet than the appliance we replaced and we like the look of this microwave very much! The only con is that it sticks out very far and that the vent is on the top. Like the previous review mentioning this issue, there is no fix for this yet. Seems Whirlpool should have designed an after market screen to prevent things from falling into the vent and becoming lodged inside. Also this is very heavy and somewhat tough to install for one person due to its weight and size. Other than that, we're pretty please and would recommend to a friend!

Absolutely pleased with this purchase. Made this purchase 27 April 2011, and installed it ourselves. This microwave is used on a daily basis and have been very happy with everything. So glad we made made this choice.

My Whirlpool microwave is an appliance I couldn't do without. Cooking meals is alot easier and efficient with my Whirlpool microwave. Don't know how I could ever live without this appliance.
