Just a basic microwave

We have had a set of appliances for 7 years. The microwave has died. Fan works, light works, plate spins, but no heat. I would expect this to have lasted much longer than this. My last cheap microwave lasted 16 years. And it did not help that in order to have someone come out from Whirlpool and fix it would be around $500. So, throwing it out and buying someone else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loud Vent, Too Deep

This microwave is fine, but the vent is really loud and can't be turned off if it's arbitrary heat sensor is automatically set to "auto." Plus, it's deeper than standard shelf depth so it protrudes from most cabinets.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good features, very nice appearance, fairly easy install (why did they change the mounting brackets from the replaced model?), slightly less power than the model replaced. so far so good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Its just your average microwave

Its nice looking.. haven't really had alot of trouble but it seems like it got food hotter quicker when we first bought it. The only other problem I would say I have is that is says it fits above the stove well, however it barely fit and the door will not open all of the way.

Microwaves are meant to be efficient, and our Whirlpool certainly is that. I love the add 30 second button, it's probably the most used one on the keypad. Warming up food is a cinch with this microwave!

External bosy (frame) is not strong enough

Microwave is working fine, but the body in the bottom is craking. The body is not strong enough. I bought it in April 2010, but It started cracking within 6 months.

Good Basic Microwave

I bought this microwaver this year. It matches perfectly with my refrigerator and stove. It is is a very good basic microwave. I don't need all the bells and whistles. Very good price and good looking! I loved the fact that the plate inside lays flatly with the bottom. I had the sensor feature in my old microwave and thought I'd miss having it since this one does not have that feature. But, it does have reheat which you can choose different settings for and it works just fine. I'm very happy with this microwave. Simple and afforadable!
