this unit has a large internal area so it fits a large dish if needed. It has many features that are easy to use and the instructions are easy to follow. it has a scrolling bar when entering info which tells you what info is needed next, this is handy. the unit has several quick buttons which start the unit for specific cooking requirements. the unit is fairly quiet when operating. the built in fan helps to keep air circulated from range. this is a good unit to buy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dead after just 6 years

part of an "upgraded" appliance package in a new NV home and microwave is dead after just 6 years. Trying to decide whether to attempt to repair it (replace diode and magnetron) or simply buy a new microwave. This is the second costly malfunction of my "upgraded" appliances. My 5 burner whirlpool gold cooktop had to have all of the burner modules replaced as well.Need to consider slowly switching over to another brand as I haven't had much luck with whirlpool standing by their products.

I needed a new microwave

I spent most of my life with an old microwave from the early 80's. This new whirlpool microwave was like heaven to me. It has easy intuitive controls and it heats my food reliably.I like the way it looks; a nice clean white. My favorite part was how it mounts above my stove to save space. Installation went without any problems.I'm very pleased with my new microwave. I've used it for 3 months with no problems whatsoever. It cleans up easily and I love the light and ventilation controls for my stove underneath. Great product.

Does not work after 6 years

As with the other reviewer my one stopped heating after 6 years of use. Not sure how long they are supposed to last but much cheaper ones I have are still working after 20 + years !!

This product does not cook evenly

We purchase this unit to match all our new stover, fridge, dishwasher with stanless steel. We had problems with this unit from day one. This is a replacement for a 10 year old whirlpool gold microwave which was great. I would place on dish in the oven and it may or may not cook complete. I would place the secound dish in the oven and it would do just the opposite. I have many half frozen meals. I follow Whirlpool recommend more time it did not work. I went thru two microwave both did not perform as I would like. The service tech who looked at it say there was no mirowave mixing fan. I switch to another manufacture and my problem was solved. Not to be to hard on Whirlpool we did buy a sidebyside fridge that i would recommend. In fact it is soo good i could see a noticable drop in my electric bill.

Fan noise loud and weak

Disappointed in the fan noise. It is very loud. It is also very weak. It does not pull simple boiling steam from stove surface. Otherwise I like the product.
