Perfect quality/price combination

We were looking for a new over-the-range microwave that had a few upgraded options (love the soften butter button!), but we didn't need anything to cook a 4-course meal. We also didn't want to spend a ton of money. We found this product at our local Lowe's and were impressed with it's solid construction, door mechanism, size, color, the reliability of the brand, and the very reasonable cost (especially given that we had to have it installed, and we knew that cost would be on top of the product itself).It works beautifully, from the cooking to the fan and lights--just what we wanted. My only slight complaint, and the reason I did not give it a 5-star rating, is the noise level. It turns on the 'hi' fan whenever it is in use and it is relatively loud (compared to our typical experiences with counter-top models). I don't need ear-plugs, so it isn't too bad, but it is a sound you need to raise you voice a bit to talk over. Couldn't ask for much more for the value, however.

Great Microwave!

I purchased this over-the-range microwave in black to replace one that stopped working. It is a great looking microwave and is very easy to operate. A feature that I like and did not have before is the "add 30 seconds" button. I also like that it beeps if you forget to take something out. It has a nice sturdy handle that makes it easy to open and close and it is very easy to wipe clean inside and out. The only recommendation I would make to Whirlpool is to make the "Start" button larger. I would definitely recommend this product because of its quality, features and ease of use.

I bought this unit not realizing all of the great features. With heat sensing it automatically turns on. I have had only counter top microwaves before, this unit is wonderful.
